I never said that i want to shun love out of life. I am just criticizing the way Disney tries to portray women. In that, that they shoudl strive for love and engage in pursuing it, while they almost totally leave out the part about women being independent and that they should have different interests other than love. I think Disney's portrayal of women demeans them, making them dependent on the love men provide, Disney's message tries to tell women that without a male partner they are incomplete imo.
Yeah but doesnt the fact that Cinderella's only ambition is to marry the prince, bother you? As opposed to having a strive to fulfill her dream and be who she wants to be. Having ambition other than love and having interest other than Men.
I think that someone who is subject to imprisonment doesnt long for romance but a chance to fulfill what he wants becomes. Sometimes these Disney movies send the wrong message imo.
Im not saying that love is silly, im just saying that love needs not to be Cinderellas sole ambition.
Lah Lah Lah! Ma mne2bal hiek! Inte ijte ball ihem aw distour! kinti b3ate PM awal and I would've prepared the coffee! Im good, tamnena 3anek, Cinderella
Of course, some fairy tales are just mesmerizing. Take Belle et la Bete for example, i have the entire film copied on my hard disk. But sometimes they offend me, take sleeping beauty for example, the princess has only purpose to wait for the prince to come and wake her up, and Cinderella who has sole purpose and ambition to marry the prince. Dont u find these things irking, and kinda demeaning to women?
