1- Political system in Lebanon
2- Current political crisis
3- political affiliation(if there is)
4- Palestinian issue and the camps
5- Syria, Israel, Usa, Ksa, Iran
6- Armed groups
7- Lebanese national army
1. Not ideal, but as a non-Maronite, even as a non-Christian I fully acknowledge the positive effect having a Christian head of state has had for Lebanon in the past. But I do acknowledge the faults of the system, and believe each person should be judged on the merits of his or her character, not their religion.
2. It's between principled men and political prostitutes, nothing more and nothing less. The government sold themselves to the Syrians and now to the Americans.
3. I'm FPM
4. Palestinians should be disarmed (before Hezb), given better humanitarian conditions because we're all human beings, and they should be deported.
5. Syria, Israel, KSA, Iran, all of them are the same to me. All have an agenda in Lebanon, they need to leave us alone, I don't like any of them.
6. Armed groups should be destroyed and treated with an iron fist, I don't care if it's my own family or my worst enemy, nobody should carry arms.
7. Lebanese Army is our hope, our pride, and the ONLY legitimate armed force in Lebanon.

How will knowing these affect the moderation process?
These things are irrelevant to whether the member will be a good moderator or not.
I say let's skip the voting, since it's going to be a popularity contest at the end, let the nominees just state that they are willing to help with the moderation and let the admins pick whoever they think is good for the job.

Good enough. Then we have 3 candidates for now:

-Mehdi Soldier.
-Bejin.
-Haruun.

Can I also suggest for the candidates to also talk to us about their vision of the forum, the way they consider moderating it,on which criterias they would participate in choosing other moderators, their eventual projects, their views about interaction between members, and eventually, the input they could propose to take us all forward, and maybe their program if any?

I for example, wouldn't vote for a candidate based on his political opinions, but based, and only based,on the positive input he could help bring to this forum, once elected as team leader.

If this project is not agreed by all, i want to defend the principles of the lebanese democracy: the consensus and the parity.
2- Current political crisis is based on three problems: an international one between the US and Iran, a regional one between Saudi Arabia/Egypt/Jordan (the so-called sunni camp) and Syria/Iran (the so-called shia camp) and a national one between those who want to keep Aoun, the FPM and the christians out of the power and those who are allied with Aoun and the FPM. These three problems participate to the current political crisis in Lebanon.
3- I am with the Liberty Front, the political offspring of the Lebanese Forces Resistance. Its general coordinator is Dr Fouad Abou Nader, former commander of the Lebanese Forces Resistance and former Bachir Gemayel companion.
4- About the solution of the Palestinian refugee problem, former Foreign Minister Faris Buwayz has suggested a four-track approach (al-Safir 1996: 18 April). The first component is a call for the implementation of the right of return, as stated in the United Nations Resolution 194. This, according to Buwayz, will accommodate 20 per cent of Palestinians in Lebanon. They would not return to Israel, but to the regions that are under the control of the National Authority. Second, the plan calls for the return of Palestinians to countries where they have families and relatives in the Arab world as well as in other countries. Such family reunification will accommodate 25 per cent of Palestinians living in Lebanon. Third, emigration to countries such as Canada, Australia, and the United States should be facilitated, by giving Palestinians priority over other immigrant groups. Fourth, Middle Eastern countries, particularly those that are wealthy and have significant economic resources, should contribute to the settlement of the problem by giving the Palestinians employment opportunities and the possibility of settling in these countries. I support this plan.
5- I am for positive neutrality of Lebanon.
6- Our Army should be the only one armed force in Lebanon. About the Hezbollah weapons, i agree on the Memorandum of Understanding about the FPM and Hezbollah. I am for the islamic resistance becomes a brigade inside of our Army in the framework of a defense plan and security law.
7- All my supports to our Army.

In my opinion, the political view is of high importance for me to vote for someone concerning political moderators.

What if he has political views you agree on but is not capable of performing and taking his responsibilities as a moderator?

What if he thinks that he is here to "moderate" posters instead of moderating the forum.

He will participate in choosing the 13 political forum moderators after all. That's his first prerogative.

Don't you want to know on which criterias he will choose those moderators? What's the use of his political opinions in this task?

As Bou Sandal explained, this thread is open till Sunday midnight to all those who wish to become candidates, after that a new thread will be opened with a public poll, I will make sure no one will use more than one account to vote.

as for the appointed Team Leader, please welcome 1989

He is an old member and ex-staff (on lfpm.org), he is now back with a new username (in case you were wondering what was his old username, contact him and ask him and see if he wishes to reveal his old identity).

Back to the candidates, all the candidates will have a chance to post their program on the poll thread so the members can read and vote.
