Hi everybody.
im sure that this is not directly linked to the ads problem in OTV.
but i realised that the design and the Graphics in OTV are Primitive and simplistic. and i think i can solve a problem like this easily, so instead of having all their design done in Flash a 2D based software they should instead hire 3D animators.
I myself am a 3D animator and movie compositor specializing in rendering Graphics, I studied Basic graphic design in American university in dubai, I have a diploma from Australia in 3D animation from SAE institute, I am attending a Degree program in Middlesex university for Media and am researching Photorealistic computer graphics.
Although I have no work experience with a TV channel, but I’m one of the few animators in the Middle East with these types of qualifications.
I will receive my Degree from the UK in mid 2009. then i will be looking for a job, if they are lucky they can get someone like me, but it all depends on the situation in Lebanon.
Whatever.... Listen... when Otv screams 24/7: "Christians being boycotted'' and not ''Michel Aoun being boycotted'' like that silly nkoula guy did... well then logic says ad companies will have to take the heat.... It's the image people, the image.... and Otv should be careful not to fall into the whole ''East'' column of the media wing...
Oh and also their whole graphics and promotions with that cheesy orange color should be changed! Does that need more money? I'm guessing so? right? The horror... poor Christians of Lebanon! Boycotted.... ya 3ayni! and by the ''west!!!!!! NBN gets better treatment!
In my opinion, if you look at european channels, and world reknown channels, for their graphics and animation, you notice that they are all heading towards 2 dimensional graphics, while before they were all 3D.
Ill name National Geographic (my favorite design wise), M6, France2, CNN (with some 3d effects but very light), EuroNews (with its new design), ARTE.
Arab media always heads towards 3D, Aljazeera, AlArabia, NBN...
I personally think that we must be unique to stand out, and this is a good step from OTV. Maybe it doesnt fit everyone's taste, but i noticed from the huge nbr of ppl that i met, that ppl have extremely varying opinions about each and every detail.
As a shareholder i was very happy today when i saw this number of advertisment on OTV : IBL Bank, Jammal trust Bank, Panasonic, Special, Pert plus, Head & Shoulders, Tied, Always, Baalbek international festival, Ehdeniyat etc...
