What is happening in other media should make you appreciate more the careful and wise strategies that were taken by OTV. LBC spent millions in Ramadan on their stupid Nishan show, what did it generate for them? Nothing. They spent also hundreds of thousands on the ranadan local series, it did not save them from going through what they are going through now.
OTV knew that spending any $ in ramadan would have been utterly stupid, so they saved the good shows for now, and look at them, they succeeded.
This is why you do not see OTV firing people, because asslan OTV is not inflated by hawa, like the others, nor gets its funding from some other nation, and what is happening to others is only a proof that OTV is the only one that does not get externally funded, otherwise have no doubt, kamen kenit el hanafiye tssakarit. And this is why, a show like Feghali's (as much as I despise it) is crucial for OTV.

Good job OTV, may you become number 1 all the way.

I agree that the current format and content of the show are pathetic; however these kinds of shows are profitable and more dollars can be generated by OTV if they develop the show's format even further such as the addition of live audience and maybe some live "premonitions" by Mike..... Come on people, OTV broadcasts a lot of social and political documentaries / news shows.... what's the big deal if they broadcast a show lime Mike Feghaly's? Not all TV viewers are interested in political or cultural programs.

To cover all Lebanon on ground antennas, OTV needs 11 antennas all over Lebanon which will cost 2 million dollars, in addition to 0.5 million dollars per year as running cost.

Don't you think putting 2.5 millions on new programs is better than throwing it on that?

X, how is it possible that Tele Liban has more viewers than Manar? Hizbollah has more than 2/3 of chi3a alone, manar should have 1 million spectator...sure the statistic target is wrongly set...

Zouxi, although I am a FPMer, I watch more LBC and MTV than OTV. My familly watch TeleLumiere more than anything else.

Although these TV are politicized, afterall we select the best TV based on the quality of its shows and so on.

beside, all my Shiaa friends love watching LBC films ;)

Bachir, ohyeah's answer is very good and i want to add couple of points myself:

1 - All TV stations including LBC put rerun during the day (LBC for example close at midnight, while OTV remains open), no TV station spends money on programs during the day, they all run reruns, the difference between OTV and LBC is that OTV is 2 years old and the re-runs are new, while LBC has a huge archive and puts something that was aired 10 years ago.

2 - OTV is not just for the local viewers, 1 of the reruns is made for the Australian viewers and the other for the North American viewers, other TV stations have more than one channels (2ardiye w fada2iye), while OTV has one channel only.

the only thing that u can watch on Manar is 15 min of the daily news and sometimes some political shows with Imad Mermel, other than that ma bten7adar
