When he saw what the Lebanese Forces did to Christians, Patriarch Khreych condemned them publicly.
But, unfortunately, instead of the justice prevailing (i.e. instead of Patriarch Khreych standing prevailing), the Lebanese Forces managed to get rid of Patriarch Khreych and replace him by Patriarch Sfeir who never ever seriously opposed them.
So Patriarch Khreych lost and the murders won.
What was the consequences on the Christians?
Dramatci, very dramatic.
More and more killings (like the murder of Gayth Khoury and his wife).
More and more intifadas (and more and more christians killed by christians).
Meanwhile, Patriarch Sfeir watched without a single protest (and the Maronite Church went mute while Maronites killed Maronites).
The Christians had lost their morality: political murder was easily done and easily accepted. Murderers could kill and remain leaders! The Christains had lost their souls while the Maronite Church stood still...
This is the result when you close your eyes on obsenities!
The only true way to protect the Christians (and Lebanon) on the long run is to make it clear that any person who commit a political murder could not remain anymore a political leader. He may kill somebody, but he will be sure that by this killing he will also be killing his own political future.
Standards for values (especially among Christians) have went too low: it's time to set them right again. | | | | | The Following 3 Users Say Thank You to go_ELIE_go For This Useful Post: | | | Registered Member

Talking about Patriarch Khreich, why did he leave actually? Anyone knows what happened? I was too young to remember back then but all I know is that he resigned... | | | | | Registered Member

So is Geagea, again, the only responsible for the Lebanese war since 1975! Why is he always the only personnality that is time and time again under scrutiny? Maybe some smart media campaign is trying to pin down the whole lebanese misery on the Christians alone. They want us to feel that the lebanese forces are the only bad guys during the war whereas the muslim and druze militias and their syrian allies are saints and saviors.......so they should be the ones to run the coutry, is that it? | | | | | Orange Room Supporter

I really don’t know why! | | | | | Orange Room Supporter

Ya teslamle, Ja3ja3 ma khasso la bel Christians wala bel Christ himself.
When we talk about a criminal, we mean him and not his sect, especially that we are Christians as well.

Utilising the media for insightment are the lowest of tactics, and I didn't think the FPM would sink to such lows.
Digging into your political opponent's past is a common strategy utilised all round the world, but uncovering scars of a bitter war that most lebanese are trying to move on from, for political gain, is nothin short of dirty.
FPM can no longer claim that they are unbiased, nor can they state that they intend to unite the country.
So far, the FPM particularly throught their media outlets and campaigns have displayed their intension to take Lebanon back to the days of the civil war.
I am yet to see a single documentary by the OTV on the Syrian Autrocities carried out towards the Lebanese People, considering the fact that the inception of the FPM and Aounie movement came as a result of these autrocites. Or is Syria an ally now, so the less people remember of these autrocities the better it helps the FPM politically !!!
Congratulations OTV and FPM | You know nothing about Lebanon or Christians...
For years, the LBC contaminated Christians with LF fear and vengence. There are more Christians that were scared and opressed by SG LF than you can even imagine.
The Truth has to be said. When SF shows up on TV, we see a mairacle that survived his hate crimes.
FPM broke the evil back of LF for good. Without voilance , Christians are at Last achieving whatever they want. Its resilience and courage that builds countries, not " dancing with the demons" and fooling the brain dead. | | | | | Orange Room Supporter

two questions
1- this sg is always cocky and bosatful that he can always win and that the people there will not last 24 hours. as usual hubris and when push comes to shove he loses and blames others. he never won any fight except the back stabbing owns ( TF, SG, ARMY PEOPLE, ETC....)
2- if they wanted as he claimed to get the people who killed his supporters, why ehden , most of them lives in zgharta. he will not find them there. so he lied again about arresting what he called a gang???????. so they went to ehden to kill TF. Period. for once let him grow balls as a man and admit it, bass than again it is an impossible mission | | | | | Orange Room Supporter

and we are the ones saying these things
also the christians voted many mnay mnay times over and over that the criminal sg is the one who was responsible for many atrocities taht befell us.
from ehden to jabal to all these so called intifadat in sharqiyye to sahrq sayda to taef to dany .
sg personifies the christians failure of having decent and honest leadership
also he personifies the failure of the church in sorting us for a mess that it had a big hand in it , since it gave sg an unprecedented support | | | | | Orange Room Supporter

in other words he declared them not guilty for what they done during the war... so how can we blame them when one of them declared the other not guilty!
thing about LFers is that they have very short memory... otherwise they wouldn't be LFers! | | | | | Orange Room Supporter

Notice how leaders of operation, according to geagea deferred the operation from Saturday-Sunday to Tuesday so Tony Franjieh would not be there...During the weekend, Many people from Zgharta spend the weekend in Ehden, if you know anything about Ehden. That's why the operation, as geagea calls it, was deferred
The Kataeb knew that Bayeh Killers (joke) will be in Ehden on Tuesday and Tony Franjoeh would not be there! Notice how geagea tries to insult the intelligence of people. The intelligence of Kataeb and geagea's logic are so strong!
By the way, 200 Kataebi from Zgharta were asked to station to Bsharri one week before the massacre. This trick was designed to blame Kataeb of Zgharta for the operation. I knew at least 10 people that were shocked that Tony Franjieh was killed and they were blamed for the operation while they were sleeping in Bsherri as per Kataeb request. | And to add insult to injury, the kataeb were having lunch at the restaurant
3al neba3 called "El Fourdowess" scouting the area and two days later, they killed the owener and his wife with an RPG while they were going down to Zgharteh in the early morning.
Wlek tfeh 3ala sg and tfeh 3ala everyone that tries to justify this massacre or any massacre sg & thugs commited.
How are you going to build a country trying to justify a massacre? What was Jihan's fault? Was she in cheeka? Did she killed joud el bayeh?
This is sickining reading some of these posts here or the other thread about June 13th trying to justify it. Yel3an deen sayet yali khalek feha sg. | | | | | | |
