Chway chway 3al OTV, it is not funded by a multimillionaire, it has only the investments that the people put at the beggining, which is not a lot for a TV station.
Roy Al Hachem (the person in charge) is leading a conservative strategy (ya3neh chway chway he grows) instead of a tef7ich one which is a little bit like gambling (you endebt yourself to make extraordinary shows that cost a lot of funny in order to hope you will catch the public and it will stay with you + getting into every dish in the world).

This strategy proved wise since every other station had to remove employees, while OTV had no financial problems which led to commercial investors investing in it which helped OTV to grow.

OTV will come to America and Dish and all of that bass chway chway because it can't afford to lose ONE gamble.

Tayyar groups in the US are ready to mobilize subscribers & wilthdrawl the carpet from this Saudi cartel.

I am fed up with ART:
They add many stations without any consideration to their viewers taste. Their prices are ridiculously high compared to other American packages of lower price & twice the number of stations.

I wish it was the way you are describing, but it's not.

In America, its all about convenience & saving. You just heard 2 Tayyarist, add a third, who will not buy a separate receiver just to watch OTV.
(Only a few will go out of their way & Buy the receiver for $150 + $10/month to watch OTV. provided that they have Cable Speed internet).

OTV is critical & central to tayyar's plans of spreading its message in North America. Or at least counter balance LBC & Future's propaganda.

Ad3af al Eyman is that we know that OTV tried & its not their fault. We'll take it from there.

Zehlawi w X, I'm not beating down on OTV or anything. Like MotorCity said, OTV has to reach the average youssef in America. People who are not partisans here in the US (and that's what most of the people are) are getting their news through LBC and Future TV. They will not go out of their way, spend $150 for a box + $15/month + pay for extra broadband just to see OTV. They're already convenienced with the Arabic package on Dish Network why should they bother with the extra? FPMers in the US are already partisan and don't need OTV to influence us. But we will get our *** whopped again in 2013, especially if we get to vote in our host countries unless we reach out to the average youssef.

If we can't get on the Dish Network, is it possible to go straight to the cable companies and get OTV there instead?

X, it's not about trusting OTV! My parents are already paying 50$ a month for DN! Make it easier for us and add it to the package!

guys otv is available on a receiver u pay 1 time $150 no installation is required and you will get it for no monthly charge.. we have it i can hook u up if your interested.

I guess tayyar guys in La knows about it too ... private message if ur interested. this receiver works from any country that has high speed internet cable or dsl.

LebanonUSA - I have to say that I totally agree with you. If you can believe it, I have not been on this forum for months, but after seeing your post, I've been compelled to respond. You're absolutely right! I'm not about to spend more money, if I'm already spending over $50 a month to get the Arabic Elite package that includes the "other narrative" - that is NTV and NBN. I'm currently signed up for OTV online. . . this whole strategy that X says "we should trust," is simply inconvenient and incurs additional costs that many of us don't have.
