OTV going on other networks is a futile exercise... Nobody is going to buy a separate reciever/satellite dish just to watch OTV. I'm a Aounist and I'm not doing it,

By the way, the reason I bumped this thread up was I just got off the phone with Dish Network. They called me to get me back as a subscriber (I disconnected a few months ago as a protest when I got no response from Dish Network). I told them, "Great, I'm assuming you got Dish Network now". The agent didn't know what I was talking about, went on to search for it in their lineup and didn't find it. I told her to feel free to call me back when they get OTV.

You really disconnected your service because they dont carry OTV in the US? That's pretty hardcore I would say! You think Dishnetwork is a loyalist?! :)

I 100% agree! I will not buy a separate receiver or dish to just watch OTV! and I'm a strong OTV supporter so imagine the "independent" Lebanese!

MTV will soon be on Dish Network I guess and OTV should do the same!

I had Dish Network for regular TV programming and didn't have the Arabic package. When they refused to add OTV, I decided I don't need them because I can get the same package on cable and have it bundled with Internet. In other words, they need me I don't need them.

I wonder how much would it cost for OTV to join DN? I once read a post saying that it will cost a lot! How much? This shouldn't be a reason to not have OTV!

Well then, I guess OTV doesn't care whether it reaches a broader audience or not. If that's the case, then I don't care about getting OTV!

Maybe someone here can elaborate more, and if nobody from OTV speaks up to us, then I guess they are being cheapstakes and are not manning up!

Just for the record guys, OTV tried all they can to be on Dish Network but the controling entity is ART which is owned by the Saudies. And they kept on "ymatlou". Give OTV credit for going out and finding an alternative. What LebanonUSA did is the right thing making Dishnetwork pay for it rather than ART. BTW I know 3 people that they stopped Dish Network and got the new box
