2009 New Year's Eve

This is for steff to read and for those involved in the new year's eve program....

1st of all: happy new year and ya3tikoun el 3afyeh

2nd: for stef: you were amazing as usual and high-spirited and very 'natural'......while the other lady in batroun (sorry forgot her name - must been due to vodka effect :P )..anyway...she was doing ok...bass not so naturally , anno she went to the Taiga in batroun at 3.00 AM with people fully drunk and she started asking them what they think about 2009.....we barerly were hearing anything....all i could pick from the guy's facial gestures...is something like "....i think...euh i think..i'm gona throw up...."

3rd: for stef also: i think i saw u walking with an OTV microphone...while the batroun girl had a black micro with no label on it.......this would have been safer : imagine this explosive cocktail : a typical LFer ( very known typical attitudes and manners ) + alcohol running to the max + an OTV microphone => u might have endded with some bruise or two.....

4th: for Elie and Mireille in the studio : they did a great job , but the show was a little bit dull : the spinning wheel : one had to win 5 in a raw to win...they could have set it to 3 in a raw to make more people win.......it's was always the same game: they could have put another game or two for diversification....and the studio could have been more vivid , colorful with more music in the background...etc.... it didn't feel like a new year's eve stage

5th: concerning mike feghali : ok all the people listened what he had to say for 2009, that part was very good...but taking calls from people with personal ( rather stupid) one-liner reply from him.....they could have found something better to fill the airtime (a ghassan rahbany program with his band playing new year's mood would have been better)..... mike's feghali face , ma byedhak la rgif el sokhn also added to this not so festive impression on the stage.....

6th: midnight at zero-hour : Very funny fool-up....the studio started count-down 9..8.....2..1..0...haapy new year 2009...we saw batroun pictures...good THEN after shi 1 minute STEFF started coutdown in Monot...Even Elie made a funny comment that there is a time lag between monot and batroun.....
come on guys u could have coordinated it better with 3 pictures windows from batroun , studio and monot at the same time ...u could have coordinated with the night club where u were going live from , when the DJ should start the coutdown so everything comes together at the same time...and again in the studio Elie and Mireille tried to make a fuss as much as they can bass u needed more festivities with more people getting in the stage at that minute and cheering and blowing hornes..etc....with maybe a coutdown timer poping on the screen

Finally: enough nagging...all the team did a great job , i know it's hard to spend the new years eve working instead of really enjoying it with family and friends...ya3tikoun el 3afieh and happy new year 2009

well... what can i say... first of all, Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed your evening on OTV. You know we always want to do smth new... and thankfully, so far we've been succeeding.

As for the Countdown, you are 100% right.. and i didnt know that the delay happened until we went back to the TV... thing is, when i was at red carpet, i was waiting for the countdown from the Studio to tell the DJ at the Red Carpet to start his countrdown.. bass i couldnt hear anything!!!! anyway.. it's alright.... kello meshe el hal :)

OTV program has competed extremely well with that of LBC. The game was alright I thought (ya Shah they can't make the game as easy as 3 in a row) and after all people won tons of gifts, it was great.
The only bad thing is that it was too long. I waited for 4 am and still they had not done the car draw.
All in all, with the wacko Feghali who a lot of people watch and wait for his jewels (give me a break) and Elie and Mireille (Elie way more natural, amazing the guy) in the studio and the live feed with Stef and the other lady (badda chweyit temrin) from the different pubs and nightclubs, OTV did a great job.

I agree with Shah Massoud in almost everything he said! Now my Opinion I really enjoyed watching OTV, we don't have it in the US but I watched it live on the internet. Elie in the studio ken mahdoum and very natural! also Mireille was natural! actually after watching OTV for couple of months now I realized that all the workers acts naturally in front of the camera ka2ano it's their home and they don't care about the live coverage! and this is very good w tabi3e!! one more thing it was quite in the studio ken lezim ykoun fi jaw aktar. anyway what I disliked was Mike fghale :S this guy scares me with his eyes and his lies! I enjoyed Maguy farah more with fadi r3ayde and the other guy forgot his name! The live coverage from beirut and batroun was good! stef was natural but the other girl in batroun badda more cheghel and practice bas she also did a good job ma badna nezlema. and one important point Shah Massoud talked about and even my mom said the same thing while watching live from beirut, stef was holding OTV microphone this was a big mistake what if an "az3ar" LFer drunk saw the 'Orange' sign! ken sar li ma 7ada byetwa2a3o! anyway after all it was a very amazing night! I love OTV maybe because it's closer to me from any other channel. May this year be successful on this great channel and specially on the workers! for sure I can't forget the father of this channel GMA may God ytawelak 3omrak! and keep you always safe!! yen3ad 3laykoun :)

well , I was in a place 'mixed' ( from different political affiliations ) ....they 1st were tuned to LBC (michel Hayek thing)....then they got bored with the LBC program , they zipped and endded up on OTV ....it was not a political motivation .....but rather , the best thing on air between all the lebaneses channels..... getting the TV stats of that evening would be interesting....

Yes , but a bit boring after few times , they should have made like 2 or 3 games instead on spending the evening on one game.....

Not good if you make them win the car at 1.00 A.M after that people will not be motivated....wacko feghali with his black dress and cap and eyes would have fitted better in a halloween night...it was ok for the yearly " predictions " but then they should have sent him and brought some funny guy to continue the evening with......
Elie was more 'professional' , but mireille was looking very 'distingue' ....the guys where i was spending the eve started making spicy remarks about her (which helps spice-up the evening).....
As for Stef , she continues amazing me , she's very natural and acts as if the camera was not there .....of all the lebanese channels TV presenter , I rarely see someone so 'easy going' with the camera and at the same time she's VERY good looking....i predict for her a very bright career....hope OTV can keep her for a long time , because i bet juicy TV offers are starting to fall on her.....

Well, considering the count-down: ok , it didn't seem professional , but it was rather a funny fool-up .....Elie made a joke about it which made things funny...
keep it up stef , ur doing a great job...u should consider more 'Live' broadcast because u were very natural and made it look like a very easy job.....

we were one of the lucky winners of l 3afesh from home city. we won the laptop b4 it. i guess the laptop will still be included in the prize ( i really hope so bcz i dont have one ) any one in charge can answer this question
