Maybe a strategy they are adopting to force you to pass by their offices: once you start negotiating with them, their chances to gain you as a customer will become highly more important.

As an employee at the Lebanese Canadian Bank, I am enjoying a 9% int. on LBP and 6% on USD :D

I work at the Credit Department so I do not have enough information about the interest rate charges, but as far as I know it is true what Mephisto has been told... Interest rates vary depending on the deposited amount. Bas 3a akid it not less than 8% for LBP which is far better than other Banks.

13%? Kidding man?

When was the last time you checked for the interest rate in Lebanon?
