Default Languages you know.. - 7th May 2007

What languages do you speak besides Arabic, Lebanese Arabic, French, English, and Armenian (if it applies)?

Let's see how diverse internationally members are. For example, I would say I'm in the very very basic level of Hungarian, but I can still understand what people are talking about and can form basic sentences etc.

I know alot of lebanese study german and spanish specifically. So what do you know?

Ouf, you must be quite stubborn! Ana I tried to study chinese, and I couldn't make it past the Zhong Wen :$ And Japanese is even more complicated because it's based on 3 types of writings, one of which is chinese :O :O :O

Respect for that!!

It has been one year i am studying Spanish. I understand basic conversations. Bass walla dabbaret halé bi Barcelona last time.... Una botella de agua por favor! Un bicadillo de jamon y queso! Ma hek Lopez???

I took some courses of Chinese this year. I learned how to write about 200 caracters. I stopped it due to studies but I will recontinue later on....

Seeking to speak Italian after Spanish...

And Seeking to know more languages than Lopez (I can always dream, fazi3 kif byehfaz bser3a... impressing...)

japanese is less complicated than chinese when it comes to pronunciation!
but yes it's true there's 3 alphabets..i can write the hiragana and the katakana, and know some 100 kanji (chinese characters) still have 1900 kanji to go to be able to read japanese. :p
now gramaticaly speaking i really don't know which is more complicated japanese or chinese!!

bass you really need to love the language in order to learn it... i LOVE Japan, i listen to their music, i watch their movies, their soap oprahs, their anime!
i cook japanese :p and i would love to live there one day! (a japanese husband maybe? )...so it's not because i'm stubborn but it's because i'm really really motivated!!

edit: maybe Lebanese_dream can tell us a little bit about the complexity of chinese
edit2: even my avatar is japanese

I can speak Spanish.

We learn it at school from grade 10 to grade 12.

It's optional though.

CPL what do you think as a non-Lebanese, my arabic lessons count here?:D

And also that in Hungary the education system is completely different than in Lebanon, so unfortunately the ones who speak foreign language(s) they speak English mainly.

So I am a native Hungarian speaker:p my first language was English, thats fluent, my second is German, thats not that fluent as English, then I studied Spanish, I am on an advanced level with it, and then started my classical arabic lessons, I am still at basics with it, though can speak not so complicated stuffs and can read and write. I also started french, but beside arabic I didnt have time for it + I truly hate it, if I wont need it by all means then I dont feel any motivation to learn it.
I would like to advance with spanish and arabic rather.

And later I hope I can learn aramaic. I am also interested in Turkish and Farsi.
