Default [Help]Mechanical/Electrical - 11th May 2009

Comrades,
I need from you a serious and sincere comparaison between these two Engineering majors, based on your personal experience concerning the following points:
_What do we study in both, what is interesting, and what is not?
_What position can we hold after graduating?
_Which major afford more job opportunities in Lebanon?
_And finally which University is the best in these fields?

3mol business fa izan, finance or marketing or accounting.
el handase ma bita3mi khibiz, after all you will be working as a technician, if you want to go in this field anyway 3mol TS, you will learn more.
you never use an eigen value in your life, nor a triple integral of volume, wala 10x10 matrix, but they teach you all this c r a p for nothing. When you graduate you will not even know what a variable frequency drive looks like or what a PLC is. while a guy 3emel TS can do 10 times more than you.
Engineering is for countries where you have research and development.
And when it comes to money, even if 1st world countries engineering is the least paying job among professionals.

if you're really hesitant between the two, you can choose mechatronics.
BTW, my major is electrical and I didn't find it to be really hard.

This is typical lebanese thinking, he wants to study engineering but he has no idea what they teach, why do you want to study engineering in the first place?
