Buying Refurbished Gaming Laptop

Hi,

the title says it, i am looking for a refurbished laptop good for gaming, i.e. it has a powerful graphic card & good CPU/RAM & powerfull "screen" (bright & HD..).
Any help/ideas where i can find (in Lebanon)?

Can you be a bit more specific? Graphics Card, CPU, RAM, and screen size? Maybe brand?

Hi,

nothing specific really, i prefer screen size to be 15.4" but don't mind a bigger size, CPU ofcourse not less than 2.0Ghz core 2 duo, minimum RAM 2GB, brand preferably Toshiba but don't mind if sth else... As for the graphic card it would definitly support DX10, relatively new model series...

Boris i have a toshiba A200-1G, 15.4'', 2.0Ghz, 2GbRam, ATI Radeon HD2600 up to 1Gb
with a 4.7 windows experience index, the best game that i can play sort of normally is COD4, not mentioning the extreme temperature my laptop reaches with medium-high graphics compatibilities... GTA4 and lots of new games have very very bad graphics

i'm wanting to get a quadcore 2.66 with 4G Rams and 2G graphic card and lots of disk space (just a tower) for gaming, autocad and 3ds max... cz i wouldn't be at ease using them with my current laptop, so i would advise you the same, its around $500 i guess the prices are very low the last time i checked (3 months ago)

and i think refurbished laptops are not reliable specially in Leb, wish you luck finding!

The laptops in the websites u posted use an integrated graphics solutions, which is not good for gaming.

Any graphic card slower than Geforce 9600M GT is not good for gaming in my opinion

actually some of them have dedicated VGA, its a wide range of choices.

BTW, can anyone share his/her experience with which laptops heats less ?
I currently have a Toshiba Tecra and it heats very much!

by the way, this is "supposetly" new and NOT refurbished laptop. IMO the look is great on this machine, i will get back to you with the details...


but sth is fishy here cuz on the website it says price = 1500$ (the least one) so i am gona take a closer look at the specs ofcourse there will be a difference.

its all about mobility my friend, i.e. you can't play WOW while lying in your bed if you dont have a laptop
