Yes, Variety is pretty good, and that’s why students shouldn’t be obliged to take 4 unnecessary courses. Don't you think?

That's exactly my point, those courses aren't necessarily unnecessary, what are they again?

I got your point, but I was talking about the "Variety" of opinions. I would loved to take more business related courses.

You have to choose 4 of these courses:

Its actually a Bachelor of Business with an emphasis on E-business, you do subjects ranging from managing people at work to economics, marketing, e-commerce and accounting etc.. etc...

it was very interesting although i would have liked to take more science electives, i love the human body so amusing....

My advice:

Don’t go back to graduate school (business) unless you got at least three to five years of experience in your field…otherwise it is waste of money/time/ value…based on my experience

Totally agree. This is exactly what I was advised and this is exactly what I found out from experience. (I am in the Eng. and R&D field)

Exactly, graduate school without real experience to share or relate to is like paying again for your senior courses...

Some universities do not accept PhDs in engineering to do MBA except after many years of experience in their field. I had the opportunity to get an MBA at the same time when I did my Ph.D but declined due to some stronge advices from my proffessors that I trust (but it was a great opportunity lool)

I Fully Agree, 4 courses are nothing! :(

Sinon, I dont know!

they didnt distribute the Catalogues, or Last time I checked it wasnt printed.
and I've never seen my "advisor".
Thats another big issue at AUB!
Advisors "3al fadeh", they always ask us to read the catalogue or give us wrong info.
Hi Chicham,

I think you are at the USJ engineering school since you talk about Tony Feghaly (he used to be my teacher too).

I used to hate finance and accounting ! it was the worst courses. I didn't have credits and elective courses at this time. But i can tell you that i regret the most is not studying these courses. You will need them sooner or later.

I continued my engineering studies in france an kept the same attitude with the accounting and finance courses. Now i need this knowledge almost in my every day work.

So if you can don't waste the credits of the financial and economic courses.
