I graduated this summer. I majored in Management Information Systems, which is considered to be in Business Administration Faculty. I am planning to start my MBA next year. Now I am searching for work.

CP, if I have a recommendation to make, choose carefully where you're planning to make your MBA, regardless of your original bachelor degree, the MBA could make a difference, hence try to choose a TOP 3 school in Lebanon or a Top 50 school abroad if possible...

My 2 cents

Hi Lebanese_dream,

Are both of your degrees based on French system? (Assuming the first one is)

Yes Dry Ice, that's why I should wait and choose a university carefully. However, the top universities here in Lebanon are very expensive. There are many universities (not expensive) which provide MBA programs certified by the government, but they are not so good. So I might go study abroad.
My question is, how can a MBA degree change your life if you already have a BS or BA? As I know the salary raises, but not that much.

You can look for financial aid and graduate assistantships.

The top 3 programs in Lebanon are known as AUB, USJ and LAU.

If you want to study abroad send me a PM detailing what country you're interested in traveling to, which state/region, a general idea of your grades, etc... I could provide you with a tip or two on some universities.

Also don't forget about the GMAT

Unfortunately and as you know, there is a clutter of business graduates today and the general impression is that you need a MBA to distinguish yourself and acquite a better chance/conditions of employment.

That's bad in itself since it devaluates the BBA, hence if you could find an optimum position with a BBA while you would balance financial incentives with career progression and then project a MBA, then why not.

Please you should know the difference between a specialized MBA and a MBA. The specialized MBA you can get in it after 5 years of university while the well known MBA as INSEAD, Harvard and others, a professionnal experience of at least 3 or 4 years is obligatory!
So you really think that abroad it won't be expensive? I have a friend majoring in USA in Business, he is paying 36 000 dollars of fees per year!
So don't think that aroad it won't be expensive! A Specialized MBA in France is about 15000 euros the year!
