Yes. Its only a matter of time before we have a pandemic flu infecting hundreds of millions around the world. Even if it kills off 2% of who it infects, it will still leave millions dead. Maybe this H1N1 flu will fade out in a few weeks, maybe it will come back in the winter in a more deadly or infectious form, maybe we'll have to wait a few more years. But there can be no doubt, the outbreak will happen, and until then countries can only do what they can to prepare for it. It will be coming. Hopefuly, it will not be as deadly as some predict, because in that case, it could literally be a civilization-altering effect.

Cheers!

My colleague was just telling me she came back from a business trip where she had on the plane 2 persons coming from Mexico. After landing (!!) these two were taken away for examination, and the rest was allowed to leave without any checking. So it is just a matter of time, actaully am sneezing a lot today

That's being paranoid, and that's where i blame the media for causing uncalled for mass panic.
I'm not scared of swine flu at this moment because the virus turned out to be less viirulent than initially predicted. It IS infectious, but not that lethal. The regular human influenza virus is more deadly so no need to panic. However what worries me is that this H1N1 strain will infect an already human-flu-infected person where the two viruses would recombine to deliver another new virus that could have worse pandemic potential.
The Southern Hemisphere countries should fully prepare for an outbreak becuase they're entering the winter season. And the Northern Hemisphere should be on the lookout for a second wave of infections come winter.
I don't believe we're gonna have a clear-cut answer before that, and there's no need for paranoia either, regular flu could kill you before swine flu reaches here (so to speak)

main point was the "clever" way how the authorities deal with the issue
