Alright lets not veer into the supernatural for the discussions sake. Let us just for the sake of argument focus on things which have been proven and have been observed. I can tell you that a green tode living in the vast stretches of Andromeda is responsible if you live or not. You might not agree, as i might not agree that u need a soul to live. So lets just stick to things which can be empirically proven.

You need a brain to live. Surgeons can keep your heart going, but not your brain, once its dead, khalas, finito, astala vista, you cease to function.

So, doesnt it strike you as plausible, that if abortion should be permitted it should be applicable before the brain forms, the organ responsible for breathing life into the baby. If the exemption of a brain is required to declare death, isnt the existence of a brain necessary to declare life?

No, after you die your nails might grow. That is not indicative that you are still alive. The body needs the brain to function, the moment the brain ceases to work your done. There have been cases where hearts would stop for an hour, but the patients would wake up afterwards. Thats because the brain still continued functioning.

The organs need the brain to live.

To everyone saying that they are totally against abortion:

- Have you ever thought that one day your daughter might be raped ( God Forbid) and becomes pregnant to some stranger?

- Have you ever thought that protected sex prevents a person from being born?

- Have you ever thought that one day your wife or you might die ( God Forbid) for a child to be born?

I personally think that you can never generalize this question's answer by Yes and No...

I am against it when it is just because they don't want to take care of the baby...

But with it for a lot of cases. e.g rape, mother's life in danger etc etc...

I love the way you analyse things and it is for logical..some just protest abortion which are depriving the mother's rights wether to keep the fetus or not..i don't like to judge a woman as i am one if they chose to abort cause i am sure if they do they r behind good resons and not a single woman on earth would abort unless she really has to,so we have to put ourselves in other people's shoes before we think otherwise

i understand abortion as the logical solution for many cases and yet in every case it also disturbs me to sentence a little developing kid to be grinded and hoovered.

thankfully, abortion is a decision that the mother has to make within a certain legal time limit.

I have come to realize recently and learned that it is not about being for or against abortion for i think that one in his/her right mind is PRO-abortion like wanting to do it other than 'having' to do it. But we need to examine the root cause of this issue which is women and child health and family planning. Good and open family planning methods will reduce abortion rates and that is what we should be focusing our efforts on rather than the abortion debate which in most case will lead nowhere!

I'm against abortion. if we can stop divorce, we can stop abortion too! Abortion is considered as a sin in many religions. Another argument that supports the anti-abortion drive is the same argument that was supporting the large families of four to five siblings in the time gone by - children are a gift of god, and the parents are just the people who take care of them, God's gift.
