I think there should be a law which prohibits abortion after few weeks, max up till 1 month, in all cases, including rape.

If a woman was raped and beaten, then she is in no way responsible for the baby. It was not her choice and she has all the right in the world to do what she sees fit.
When I say that abortion is murder, this applies for women who consented a sexual activity and for some reason something went wrong (no matter what the reason is), abortion in that case is unacceptable.

No she has not the right to kill an innocent baby even if she was raped. The baby is a victim as she is. Why killing him? This is a murder also.

What do you about mangolians? I took care of mangolians for years and I know very well how to let them be happy and I know that they enjoy life if the parents didn't do out of it a drama!!!

Last year, I was babysitting 2 children I never met before! I arrived and one of 2 was ' trisomique'... The girl is enjoying life like hell because she has all she wanted from her parents as a normal child. There is no difference for them in education between her bro and her. But, alas, I worked with mangolians in Lebanon and most of the time, parents keep on nagging what did I do to god to have such a punition... IT is not a punition!!! If you let your son live in such circumstances, sure he will suffer and won't enjoy life at all...

Personally i am against abortion Unless there is a danger to mother's life...

Still i have doubt about your first note about babies having SEVERE malformations that will cause a lot of suffering to him and to all who are around.and i may accept the abortion ethically (and in most cases before 3 month) but would never do it to a patient..

This problem here cannot be generalized...some would never give up the baby even after rape some would do..its highly a personal matter that should be evaluated case by case.
BUT no girl should get pragnant after a rape if it was reported directly to police and medical system..si these cases are less to occur...
Maybe in some countries war rapes could end with pregnancies in this case i ADORE the victim's viewpoint and i respect what they want eventhough i personaly am against abortion "if they could cope with the baby" but less often they can, the baby then will be threwn in the streets.

lebluv, all this doubt will disappear when we start seeing this malformed baby with our heart and not with our eyes.
Maybe he will suffer and maybe all persons around him suffer for his suffering, but love is much powerfull than pain.

Look at every person around you including yourself and tell me who is not suffering?? This is life we all suffer, but few of us are getting love and we are well formed.
So what differs a malformed baby from anyone of us??? He deserves to be alive as i do. Why stolen that right from him ???

Although it can make them sad seeing their child disabled, however those children can live a happy life too, even if differently. The phrase "normal" is quite relative.

The arguments "the suffering of the people around the disabled child" is not acceptable, that sounds very selfish.
Only one thing shall be taken into consideration: the suffering of a disabled child. As you are a doctor, can you give us details about, are there any cases when in early period of pregnancy a disease can be detected which will surely cause a lot of pain and suffering to a child, and would promise a short life?

Every case of rape shall be inspected individually, we can not generalize on this! And the case of wars, and rapes committed in times of genocide are the most subtle ones.

No one of us can here grasp that trauma and what effect it would have on us, it if happened with us. Theorizing about it from a comfortable situation is different than living that persecution and rape.

At least some respect to those victims, and dont call them murderers!


I just heard in the news, that a 21 year old girl was brutally beaten and raped by 5 policemen!!!! If after she is taken to hospital and turns out she is pregnant from the bastards, would you condemn her if she decides about abortion?

I am a huge advocate of God's greatest miracles which is life, however, what if a woman was raped by a relative? Is the woman condemned? Does she keep a baby that was created by incest?

Stella, we all know that it is a hard situation but being a victim doesn't give us the right to kill our baby who also is a victim. Where is the non respect here ??
