i received a mail notifying me about this thread... well since this thread is about wedding, i can share here some of my experience, now that i'm a newly wed!
you have to try planning before 3 to 4 months (1 year is too much time!)
you have to know where you want to get married, make a budget, choose the flowers, dj, lighting, fire works, photographer (you might need a luma which means more payment!), hairdresser + make up, zaffe (if you want!)
you should prepare a first dance and a second (optional!) with your dad!
choose the cake and make sure the bouquet and jaretiere will be also a nice show (never prepare what you'll do!)
choose also the cuisine you want, do you want a seated dinner or a buffet, i suggest a seated dinner and i personally opted the french dinner cos i liked the menu!
these are my wedding flowers! i decided i wanted roses in the middle and a "river of orchids" (the technical word that i learned!) i suggest orchids cos they look very nice in the weddings!
and this is how the church looked like!
fireworks should be generous and really be a show:
my hair, i prefered it to be on my shoulders, and i had 2 different hairstyle, one in the Church and one in the hotel:
in that picture, my dress is also shown a bit, i personally didnt go for any lebanese designer, i prefered the italian couture...

this a your day, a day you'll remember forever, plan it with the person you love, do it your way! i believe that was the most beautiful day, cos i worked hard, with my husband, to make it work... and when i watch the pictures and the DVD... i'm more than happy!
