Default Sleeping... - 31st March 2007

Shakespeare described sleep as "the chief nourisher in life's feast", acknowledging that for most of us deep rest is necessary for keeping body, mind and spirit in good form.

How many hours/24 do you (usually) sleep?
How many hours you think you SHOULD sleep? (because it depends on the age and on each one you know… for me for example I need at least 8 hours to feel comfortable, but I hardly sleep them)

Do you suffer sleeping troubles?

Do you suffer insomnia?

Do you take everyday an afternoon nap?

Do you work/study at night and sleep during the day?

My sleeping schedule is so messed up

When i don't have university the next day, i stay up till 3am and sometimes till 4 am (lfpm.ogr addiction)

And when i do have university, i come back in the afternoon, sleep till 10 pm and then sit the usual hours till 4am.

But most of the time,it takes me forever to actually sleep, i'm stuck thinking through the night

I sleep between at an average of 7 hours per day. It's what your body needs, especially if you're active :)

Usually I sleep from 1:00 or 2:00 am till 8:00am I don't sleep in the afternoon or during the day.
I kinda got used to this time, it's been more than 3 months since I'm following this schedule. Of course on saturdays I sleep way after 2:00am especially if there's an outing, and on sundays I sleep till 11:00 eza ma fi chi...

nehm bakeer a 2oum bakeer w shouf l so7a keef bit seer

thank you jeddoh, rip and be happy

this isn't said 3abas, our biological clock is deeply entwined with the rise of the sun and its departure, my lifestyle has deteriorated as my sleep has deteriorated. Migraines, headaches, tension headaches, tensed muscles, tireness, sleepiness, laziness, tired metabolism and all those crappy stuff can be traced to how well i sleep or don't sleep which has been the case for more than 5 years now. Sleeping sets the structure of your day, and from that structure comes the behaviour and influence of how the rest of the day flows and while ive had some acheivements in this time, i can only imagine at the opportunities lost and the potential lost of being structurally active and healthy.

So the best advise is, everyday is a chance to fix your structure, fix it. Wake up early despite no matter what time you sleep last night and start from there. You will naturally be tired and sleepy even dozy at the early evening, don't fight it. Go with it. Trust nature and change your life. Then come here and kick my aass and encourage me to do the same :)

be happy and goodluck

I usually sleep from 7 to 8 hours per day.

Lol ballich in3ass 3al 10:00 and i wake up everyday at 6:00 or earlier, not because i have to wake up early because heyk m3awade. Even on holidays and the weekends or if i don't sleep early, i do wake up at this time at 6:00 and i can not sleep again. Sometimes i wish i can still sleep till 8:00 or 9:00 but i cant khallas w3it.

When i am in love or angry or hungry or feeling cold, i can't sleep and i suffer insomnia

But what i like the most is that i don't need an alarm, because al alarm minni w fiyi . Ya3ni if i want to wake up at 2:00 AM , before i sleep i said to myself i want to wake up at 2:00 AM then at 2:00 AM i open my eyes .... maybe because i hate alarms

It wouldn't be fair if we blamed everything on lack of sleep... There could be other reasons that are causing all the biological chaos we might go through... Age sometimes has its effect on our system :)... Imagine for example my grandfather blaming sleep for his condition!

It's a routine you get yourself into... If one doesn't feel tired it's fine, but if lack of sleep takes its toll on our body, then we definitely need to sleep before we deteriorate and witness signs of aging :D...

Just follow what your body tells you, if it wants sleep, then give it sleep.

And faithful, it's amazing how we train ourselves to wake up before that alarm so that we don't hear it ring, isn't it? :D...
