Default religion and reality - 5th March 2007

Irrespective of politics, religions are the foundations of grouping people in an equal believes, in a way to set standards. A faith has nothing to do with logical and cognitive structuring of the mind. It takes life in our mystical intuition and couples the whole existence with our understanding of the limit of reason to explain everything.
What makes me think of the late books describing Jesus Christ and the whole legend attached to his life, that they are a kind of tremendous defying stories to whole concept which had been the elements directing human hopes . I am as a Christian, able to think rationnaly and to refute the many superstitious stories, but for the eyes of whoever I will not replace them by other superstitions or other structuring of my mind . in other words I will not refute my religious myth to create another one which I can put in doubt otherwise . I don’t really need to leave a belief system to get another. With all my due respects to the late evidence found here or there.

Surely faith is a different concept then science but this doesn't make it bad. You may have faith in God and go on with your life by a scientific approach. God have given us the freedom to do that.

Funny Guevara Pic heh?! This is what FPM is all about!!!!

Faith = belief without evidence

Science = belief based on evidence.
