Yes u can use reiki on yourself....the only limit being how fast you move through issues that reiki raises.
Reiki brings things to your concience that you had previously forgotten...or denied. The theory of reiki doing this, is that you only get confronted with issues that you already have the ability to overcome.
There for, progression is only limited by your own ability to move through those issues.
you can use reiki on anything that is living...yourself, plants, animals and other people.
reiki also follows a law of free will....where by the ki will not flow if the life form doesnt want it...ie, you cant forcibly give reiki to someone...they must agree.
This agreement is based in the spiritual rehlm....so that even distance reiki...where the person may not know you are sending ki to them, can still refuse..subconciously...and u know by the ceasation of the ki flow.

There is always a cost in anything, and reiki is no exception.
The difficulty with any spiritual matter, is that you cannot see with your eyes what the costs are. Therefore, one needs a strong development of discernment when it comes to anything related to spirituality
I dont want to sound like i am promoting reiki, its just that i know about it...particularly in the practice of it.

Just an interesting note on ki energy....martial arts uses and is based on the flow of ki. Through the increasing and decreasing of the life energy.

Thank you felix for your insightful post! Do you know by experience if your life energy, ki gets stronger (or more accessible) the more you use it in an integrative way? Did you feel stronger doing it?

Yes, reiki does increase ki energy....and balance that energy.
Im not sure about the stronger aspect...i mean i never got phisically stronger....but my ki flow certainly increased the more i practiced, and this in turn....strengthened the reiki. (although my reiki master always said i had a strong flow of ki...)
But yes....the life energy does strengthen...b/c using reiki is like using a muscle...the more you use it...the stronger it is.
This also relates to the chakras...as the more you are used to living with them open....the more energy flows thru.

everyone has a different vibration of ki; so for example.....the feeling of one reiki practitioner may be quite subtle and another rather obvious....but the ki is the same.
