I have a question: in Lebanon you girls attend only parties where you have to wear such dresses? They all look like celebrity parties or prom balls.

So I am just curious in Lebanon this is what you mean under "party"?

In September I'll be in Lebanon and I'll attend some parties and of course go to bars and discos (yupiiliiii). So, at my cousin's party I'm planning to wear a dress like this one but mine is dark-blue and short.

OK, bc you girls gave me that impression really that it is so normal for you to go to alike parties every day.

I have a different idea of parties, and people wear there normal clothes, meaning not dressed for a ball.

So can I go to parties in Lebanon in jeans if I like so?:P

Claudia you mentioned heavy make-ups. I noticed it is common in Lebanon, personally I hate it, as it gives you an un-natural look. What do you say can I go out onto the streets in Lebanon wearing ZERO make up?:D As I heard from a friend already who tried it and she was taken like an alien there:P:D

Hi Stella! I am glad you are posting here, I always like to hear from you.
Well, I love heavy make up but not a vulgar one. I like strong smoky make-up eyes, some light gloss on the lips and strong (but not flashy) blush. I also looove kohl as eye-liner.
Well you can wear zero make up, of course, but you won't feel like a lebanese. I read in an italian magazine an article about lebanese designers. One of the assistents said lebanese women are very concerned with their looks and she stated a very negative opinion about lebanese women who doesn't care for make up, hair or cloths.

I was not talking about daily-life. Leb girl don't go to the uni with strong make up, but at night we wear a lot of make up (at least I do, and it was very common among the people I saw in Beirut)

In New York women use a lot of make up but they are different... americans look clowns with those super red and fucshia lipsticks so vulgar...

Yeah maybe because I am not Lebanese.
Here it is perfectly normal to go into the street without any make up, if I wish so. In overall girls dont use heavy make ups, only the gothic metal fans, and they use black of course.:P

Personally I like the natural look, and those make ups which gives me natural colors, mainly the colors of the autumn, or some light spring. Anyway I have a very white skin so I wouldnt look nice with a heavy make up, once I tried, I went to a professional trend master, she put all kinds of stuffs on me, and when I was ready I looked like as I grew 10 years older + I had the face as colourful as a clown You can imagine I never tried it since then. I prefer some very light make up, natural look when I feel like, or I have time:P or I am going out, or am with bf:P etc.... otherwise zero make up is perfect for me:D and as Omeros mentioned no matter what brand you use (especially big names as Clinique makes your skin ugly) it will harm your skin and hasten the ageing.

As for the Lebanese girls, so far from pics I noticed they wear usually heavy make up, maybe it is something oriental.
