you start to feel you have problems in your heart, but your heart's condition is excellent! thank God, you dont smoke, dont drink, follow a certain healthy diet, have no heart problems in the family, but you have numbs all over your body, you feel your bones are cold, you can't breeze normally!
physically, everything seems to be normal, but you're not insane, you're feeling a pain, you can't sleep sometimes at night and for some reason people know you're not that ok, but there just dont seem to be any cure for that ugly feeling... i'm talking about the panic attack...
seems many people went through it, it takes some time for a person to get over it, but you finally do, you have to!
i was wondering, did anybody here pass by it, if yes, it would be great for them to share their experience and how they got over it,
thanks! | | | |

I went through something similar, thought I was having heart attacks. Did all the tests and nothing came up. Which made me very angry, because I wanted to know what was going on, I could constantly feel my thumping heart in my chest.
I started excercise bas I was worried that I could die from it, its funny when I think about it now bas there was nothing funny about it back then, it was a really serious fear.
I would try to sleep at night bas I'd get this tighness in my chest, then my hand would go numb and my heart would race to over 160bpm, I thought that I was seriously sick.
I eventually began excercising regularly, stop drinking coffee, reduced my working hours, and tried to follow a healthy diet. Things improved quiet quickly, bas there was still this uncertainty inside of me.
The reality is that you get panic attacks or anxiety because of stress in your life, and unhappiness. I was going through a tough time in my life and my body reacted the way it did. I know there is nothing wrong with my heart, and that I am not going to die any time soon bas every now and then I get reminded of those days by some things.
The best thing you can do is talk about it to someone, if you feel as though people around you will not understand you then go see a shrink, they would be great help, it is amazing how just talking to someone and sharing your problems can make you feel so much better, I do not recommend taking any medication for this as it is not a physical issue but a mental state of mind.

my sister went through it and for a long time!
she saw many doctors and took many drugs but it didn't help...
guess what was the reason? Aspartame! panick attacks turned out to be one of the major side-effects of this synthetic sugar (canderel, nutrasweet etc...)
once she stopped taking it, in 2 weeks, her problem was solved and she was back to normal... | | | | | Orange Room Supporter

i believe that one can be very happy in general, still be stressed and have these attacks...
what really calms a person down is the presence of someone they love, spouse, parents nearby...
i recently met people who had that case and discovered, people, especially men pass by it a lot... because of work, changing locations, everything can be perfectt, but sometimes the accumulation of stress and events can lead to it too | | | | | Orange Room Supporter

what i like abt rayo's reply is that its not related to any psychological effect! | | | | | Registered Member

exactly Inanna! thank you for pointing this out; that's the message i wanted to pass, it could be physiological and not only psychological...

Just a few days ago i noticed a strange pattern forming. For the past few months i started taking a vitamin supplement (Berocca). I noticed when i took it, and not long after if i tried sleeping, i'd get weird anxiety feeling and my heart would di' mitil alba la haifa bi ddi' la SHN.
I stopped taking it, and that feeling stopped! I JUST checked http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Berocca after reading your post, wa lek shoo la'et "sweeteners (aspartame, acesulfame K)". I always suspected it had artificial sweeteners, but the label doesn't say it! (Not clearly anyway like sugar-free gum).
Just saw this too http://www.sweetpoison.com/aspartame-side-effects.html
I've always been hardcore anti-artificial sweeteners and never drank diet-coke etc and am always warning people against it. For gum i'd go for chicletts coz it had real sugar in it.
Natural is always the best !!!!!!!!!

A panic attack is a psychological condition, and all the fear is in your head! Once you understand and can realize this it will be the becoming of over coming your anxieties, since panic attack is anxiety and anxiety is inner fear!
If you go to a psychiatrist they can give you medication that will dissolve under your tongue and take away this condition instantly, like benzodiazepines but this is a short term solution.
I think that if you can think to yourself where your fears and anxieties come from, and how they got there, you can then plan from there by realizing what gives you the fears.....
If you read a book about psychology, it explains many different theories, like Sigmund Freuds.
If you go to a psychiatrist, remember that they can cause more problems then can solve :)
