Hi forum. Anyone heard of palm and feet sweating? I went to many doctors and their prescriptions all failed me like aluminum and antidepressants and other stuff. The problem is really annoying, and my ears get really red and I feel hopeless at the moment :( Anyone knows of a solution? Much thnx in advance

When does this happen to you?
When you're put in difficult situations?

I can be at rest and not a thought and it might happen. It's real annoying and somewhat disabilitating!

Excessive sweating is called hyperhidrosis. It can be localised in one or several parts of your body. With most its a physiological malfunction so its no fault of your own.

I dont know enough about it to know what red ears have to do with it, or if that redness means you may have something else thats stress induced.

But hyperhidrosis doesnt have a set cure, some easy ones may work on some but most people who want a definite cure have surgery to stop the sweating. (they cut into near your spine to cut off nerves that induce the sweating).

Just learn to live with it, it cant be that bad.

are u a teenager?
when i was a teenager i used to sweat alot on my chest and fingers(soo annoying when u play guitar!!!) also,it turned out i had very high testosterone levels becuz i did so much sports like bodybuilding, one day i was visiting dubai and i was in a cinema and it was freezing!the a.c was on and it was very very strong, with all tht i came out of the cinema and the front of my t-shirt was very wet, so i went to c a doctr and he just said tht it happens to many people my age and tht it will get less and less during my 20s and he was 100% percent right now its totally stopped. thr was a deodrant i was given tht really worked,il try to remember its name and post it later,, u basically put in on at night thn it works for 4 days thn u put it on again, i remember tht i used to spray it on my hands and it really helped alot

Thanks for your replies, but I really disagree with it can't be that bad! I hate shaking hands with people, especially those who go like, "eew is that sweat" and start rubbing their hands with their pants. I am afraid of holding my gfs' hands, that's why I tend to keep myself farther away from them and eventually break up. I am doing pharmacy but I can't work in the lab. Once a beaker slipped out of my hand and broke and it caused me to turn all red.

It's like, I can't sweat unless it's on my palms and feet too. Everyone sweats like from their armpits and face but not really palms and feet, and this is necessary to release wastes. I sweat from all the places. I can't just sweat from my arpits or face. And when it starts there's no way it stops. Some times it takes all day long. Stress does increase the amount of sweat, but the amount is really drastic to start with without stress. There is no way for me not to think, because that's proly the only way to stop the sweat. Like the guy said it's a nervous system issue that I dont' have control over I think. I hope I can find a cure before the next semester starts.

Ok amigo,

how about this :).. From now on you can treat this as an observer for one week. It may be difficult to start but you'll get the hang of it pretty quick. Understand a few things.

First, everything changes, everything is impermanent and that includes the sweat. It will stop, it will start and it will stop again. Second, in the position of the observer you dont need to allow anxiety to take over your emotions, you can see it, its there, you're observing it, but you're not letting it dominate you, because its not you (the anxiety) you're the observer. So this is a kind of role playing. And you will keep a Journal. Write down whats going on when it happens, you can keep a small notebook in your pocket. Everytime it happens, write it down. It's ok if your hand is sweaty, it wont stop you from writing, remember you're the observer.

Write down what you feel is relevant. Remember, as an observer you can remember better, you're calmer and more controlled. You can observe your emotions, patterns, triggers maybe write it all down for a week. :)

Then we can take it further in private if you like, let's solve this together amigo

You can do it!

Be Happy,

regds,
