What are your thoughts about one night stands?

Would you consider it as a discrepancy of the society, or something inevitable when the society is heading toward fragmentation?
Some may even consider it trendy, and an inevitable accessory of the single life?
What are its positive and negative sides?

Is that an urban legend that mainly men prefer it? And the women, arent they giving the green light to it? Why are men showing off with it, or women are doing the same?
But after all why are men and women, who had many one night stand experiences, being judged differently by the society?

Some may argue that its positive side is that you experience that despair, misery and emptiness in the morning, which would make you realize its not worth after all, and makes you value a long term relationship. Or not? Are there people who love one night stands, and prefer it over a steady relationship?

Is it connected to a certain age maybe?
Can you feel love/being in love when having a one night stand?

And after all what may push people toward having one night stands?

Bottom line, everyone does it for a different reason. It could be complete strangers, or could be people that work in the same office.

Love or not, it all depends on the situation. It's lust that's felt in one night stands more so than love.

I didnt ask about another aspect, what if someone feels lonely? So it may not be lust after all, nor love in a sense of being in love.

I say live and let live, I don't judge people who have one night stands, as I don't judge people who prefer staying virgin till the end of time.

I say if one's being careful for STD's, criminality etc... then why not ?

as long as they do it without prejudice let it be each and evry one is responsable for his/her acts .

i was having a dialogue with my son and he told me they had a smal survey in school asking boys about : 1- premarital sex 2- about marrying a non virgin .
the result was 1- 85% in favor 2- 20% refuse to marry a non virgin ...
amazing no ? this proves a point for men it is ok to have one night stand (many as much as they want ) but they will refuse it for women the results of the second question proves it ! why ? because they all have prejudices that drives their decisions .

Its very hypocrate, a double standard by the society, that they accept the one night stands from a boy but not from a girl. Furthermore a guy can be non-virgin, but a girl not? Those guys were with aliens maybe?

One night stand is very useful, but two night stands are better yet.
I like to have one on each side of my bed where I can rest my daily dose of grenadine vodka on one and my trusty remote controller on the other.

So you see, night stands are quite useful.
