Default Miracles..Only for Christians? - 12th April 2007

Do 'miracles' exist in other religions or are they exclusively 'christian' phenomena?

Do muslims, jews, buddhists or others beleive in divine miracles? Are there any documented sites or events where some 'miracle' took place and where non-christian beleivers have mass-mobilized to witness or celebrate it?

If yes, it would be interesting to hear some stories or reports on this.

If no, then why? What's in christianity that makes it more natural for miracles to either 'happen', or for chritians to beleive they do?

Would be intersesting also to know if there ever existed a miracle which was equally aknowledged by two or more religious groups? Kind of 'beyond religious boundaries' miracle?

Miracles can happen with anyone, regardless of his religious background.

The question is ... what's the message behind the miracle, and who is the cause of the miracle?

DaMan, no, that was not the question. The question was: Do you know others than christians who beleive or have stories to tell about miracles?

I've heard of Muslims experiencing miracles. However, I honestly don't know of any site I could refer you to.

Sorry about that. Maybe someone else can help.

Concerning miracles with Non-Christians.

I recall that N3emtalla Al Haridini made a miracle with a Druze kid while his parents were at Kfifan, the kid was highly sick and almost dead yet he survived there. In addition if I am not mistaken this was the main miracle/cause to announce Hardini Saint (or Toubawe?).

However unfortunately I can not relate this story to any online website but I am very sure that it happened since I live in the neighborhood and maybe you can find the story more accurately if you ask more.

I heard many other stories but they remain stories since I can not find anything online to back them up.

Finally, I have a question, is there any miracles happening with Muslems and done by Muslems? Not by Haridini for example?

Why did you conclude that what happened to the kid was a miracle ? !!

The same story that happened to this kid have happened to many people in the world. There are many people around the world who were very sick and they survived, but does this mean that it is a miracle ? Isn't there a scientific reason behind this ?

Miracle pictures of Islam:

A Mosque still stands after an earthquake in Turkey. Even though all the buildings beside it have been destroyed. This earthquake took place in the western Turkish town of Golcuk, 60 miles from Istanbul, in August 19, 1999.

Heaven,

Why did you conclude that this was miracle ?

It seems that whenever something strange happen people here conclude directly that this is a miracle.

Maybe the mosque and the building behind it didn't fall by coincidence. And if you know mosques have different infrastructure and design than normal building, and maybe thats why it didn't fall. But the strange thing here that people conclude directly that this is a miracle by god.

........

All the examples here are very weak. I have yet to see a strong example of any miracle that I can't ask questions about it, such as "human transforming to an ape" or any strange thing like that. But it seems that all people here have very weak examples that can't support any claim that miracles exist.

Hundreds of Hindus in Nepal are flocking to see a statue of a deity which is said to be "sweating".

This is just in answer to the questions in the OP.
