You're right, but I've seen it happen. In more conservative places people don't have first-hand experiences, so they find alternate ways.

It depends who your partner or potential partner is and what kind of background they have :)

hose songs are not only about how love and the world are perfect, they're about the pain and longing for the other that come out of love. sometimes they express very violent feelings. All of that exists and i'm pretty sure each and every1 of us has experienced every subject those songs are treating.

When you're a cute girl with tons of guys lookin to please you and find their way to your heart, you get everything on a sliver plate. You don't worry about getting broken or disapointed; cause in the end no matter what, the guy gives you what you need and tells you what you want to hear, thats only if he's intelligent enough to do so.

Otherwise, say you're not that of a bomb, you'll end up wanting stuff you'll never reach, all due to the illusion those songs got you in. The rest is a known story.

If you ask me? i'd say its genetic, inert, something unexplainable. Some people are as dull and dumb as they are, when others are heartfelt affectionate and as much open as you'd want.

Hheheh as usual i don't agree ... you seem to forget that all teenage girls, no matter how pretty, have FEELINGS and dream of love. They can have 2000 men on their feet and hear endless compliments, do you think it's enough to have a fulfilling life?
Some adult heart-broken women can live the way you describe and be satisfied, but those are specific cases running away from getting attached.
There was a time in my life when many many men were after me, i could have gone out everyday with a different one, but i felt void from the inside, becoz i knew that underneath all these caring appearances, there was nothing but indifference...

p.s: i'm not bragging. it's just to tell you that i know what i'm talking about.
