also, when i was a wee kid the clergy didn't teach me to hate muslims in my case. they just tought me to hate them really hehe
i can't image the horror i would have faced if i was raised in an even stricter muslim type school..

The word "Christian" is not mentioned in our Muslim schools. With Sunni vs Shiaa there's no room left for anyone else lol. I can assure you that no school for HA or Sayyed Fadlallah preaches any of that stuff. I'm familiar with their programs more than you can ever imagine.

Btw, my parents put me in a Catholic school till I was 7 :D

Halla2 what im doing with the "others"? well Dalzi its a VERY complicated issue, eventhoug Aoun is a relative, but another much closer relative was/is a Big big figure in Kataeb/LF (the milicia), and i was rasied in the atmosphere, eventhough dad (rip) was during his life a fierce deffender of the palestinian cause, then he used to be in "maktab tansik" with GMA.. so i never ever hated GMA during my entire life... till the day he came back and announced HK "shahid shahid shahid" (anyone remember?) and took a syrian path! I don't believe in being raised in atmospheres affecting your judgment. I don't even believe in religious identities based on atmospheres and homes either. We choose our paths in life.

There are two kinds of persons:

What if your husband or wife is the second category person and imposes who to vote to or which channel wanna watch and suppporting to death the other party and when u discuss it in civilized way he or she says that u r a total idio ..then what would you do??

Absolutly WRONG! It affects greatly and Lebanon is the BIGGEST example BUT It is not an excuse, What i mean is that It isn't an Excuse to Join the wrong side if you hapen to be born In This or That village, Ur gonna have to be responsible for every decision.

Yes TS, it is wrong, but not an excuse at all. That's what I meant by I don't believe in those things. You make your own judgment and many people have and are totally different to their environments.

Then that would mean that she has made the wrong decision to start with. He's no gentleman. It's a turn off for couples to call each other names like 'idiot' and its derivatives. But better late chucking in the bin than never I guess...

I have no problem with anyone who isn't sectarian :). My only problem is when sectarianism kicks in wildly and ignorantly. It makes me so God **** sectarian myself that I feel disgusted with what I could feel and what could come out of my mouth. I despise phalangists because of their evil indoctrinations against Islam and Muslims. And I blame them for the destruction of Lebanon. I trod over anyone who shows one sign of disrespect. Well RP, I tend to differentiate between the leaders and the people at times; especially since I know very well how different I am from SHN. He's much more sweet and cute and nice and tolerant and religious. And of course we all know that the Kataeb and FM are not like the LF. The LF are crusades in need of another Salaheddine.

And of course I despise the Phoenician wannabe Gemayels. The dad refused go give Muslims especially the Shiaa anything, and he created a Militia when he had the army. They taught hate towards Muslims in schools, and they even used clergy and nuns for it (all you Christians know that well). His sons were Sharon's buddies and they brought Israel to Lebanon, thus they are responsible for the death of family and friends. Their mouths have spilled disgusting sectarianism starting from the little one's "hujum" to the shahid's "quanity vs quality" theory, to Amin's comment on the "7adara" evident in the way LBC women dress vs those on Manar (probably thinking that Christianity calls for silicon and cleavage), to to, you name it.

On the other hand you have Aoun. I've never heard him say anything sectarian and most importantly his hands were not contaminated with those of our killers.

Being a Muslim, I'd be very low to have one shred of respect for people who don't know the meaning of respect. And I look down on every Muslim who turns a head towards such kind. If you respect me, I respect you; if you don't i don't. Very simple.

I have suffered for years from my classmates for defending Islam from the incorrect comments full of hatred some ignorant religion and history professors have released! Everyone in my school thought I'm a Muslim cause I was the only one stating the facts as they are, honestly I didn't really care as long as I was saving some people from ignorance, which I managed to do.....
I once was going to get expelled from school because of a fanatic religion teacher with who I had a raw, luckily my director was a leftist....

However, not all of them are like that, we have a priest who is very open minded! I'm his favorite student because I actually criticize everyone and everything with logic, and I don't stick to the archaic teachings of a certain religion.......

By the way, we once had a field trip with a Muslim school, that trip also changed a lot in the way some people thought....

And now, when I think about it, i remember that all those open-minded teachers were FPMers and the ones full of hate were LF and Kataeb!!!


I support Dalzi in most of her comments, I also could not live with an LFer or a Kataeb, they're too ignorant and stubborn, you can very rarely find a moderate one....
