Losing Friends because of Politics

If you have logical friends, you won't be in this situation, my 2 best friends are PSP followers. We just decided from day one never to talk about politics with each other because we dont want politics to cause us problems. It doesnt matter which political party you support but it matter iza el wa7ad 3a2lo zghir la daraje eno ykhalle hek shi you2af ben 2 very close friends.

I totally agree, my cousins best friend is a hardcore active HAer, they are like brothers and they dont talk politics. It's disgusting how some feel their pride is shaken if they have a friend with different political affiliation.

Well yea I beleive the Fitnah was made between the Main Body of Both Sects thanks to the Political problems and the "wise" leaderships, I Just realised these ppl will never reconcile no matter what, so Seriously why bother anymore? I lived with my FM friend under one roof sharing the same flat for more than 3 years....eventually after the first political clash with each other, things became cold and we barely spoke with each other after that......

Stupidity is like when our neighbors(3ersen jded) divorced bcoz of politics and we heard dishes breaking in their house:P
A huge number of my family are FPM, and believe it or not we're GMA relatives:P (mesh ktir 2rabe b3ide btw ;)!!
Halla2 some fights occure from time to time.. but they are the best ppl i know!!

hehe, Dalzi takes it easy sometimes on kataeb ppl, i'm sure she can somehow manage to consider u a potential friend if u be nice to her and if i try to convince her of giving u a chance :P

I have no problem with anyone who isn't sectarian :). My only problem is when sectarianism kicks in wildly and ignorantly. It makes me so God **** sectarian myself that I feel disgusted with what I could feel and what could come out of my mouth. I despise phalangists because of their evil indoctrinations against Islam and Muslims. And I blame them for the destruction of Lebanon. I trod over anyone who shows one sign of disrespect. Trust me, you'd never want a friend like me around you lol. I don't provide the best example of tolerance at all, especially after 2006. That part of me died with no chance of resurrection.

Well RP, I tend to differentiate between the leaders and the people at times; especially since I know very well how different I am from SHN. He's much more sweet and cute and nice and tolerant and religious. And of course we all know that the Kataeb and FM are not like the LF. The LF are crusades in need of another Salaheddine.

And of course I despise the Phoenician wannabe Gemayels. The dad refused go give Muslims especially the Shiaa anything, and he created a Militia when he had the army. They taught hate towards Muslims in schools, and they even used clergy and nuns for it (all you Christians know that well). His sons were Sharon's buddies and they brought Israel to Lebanon, thus they are responsible for the death of family and friends. Their mouths have spilled disgusting sectarianism starting from the little one's "hujum" to the shahid's "quanity vs quality" theory, to Amin's comment on the "7adara" evident in the way LBC women dress vs those on Manar (probably thinking that Christianity calls for silicon and cleavage), to to, you name it.

On the other hand you have Aoun. I've never heard him say anything sectarian and most importantly his hands were not contaminated with those of our killers.

Being a Muslim, I'd be very low to have one shred of respect for people who don't know the meaning of respect. And I look down on every Muslim who turns a head towards such kind. If you respect me, I respect you; if you don't i don't. Very simple.

also, when i was a wee kid the clergy didn't teach me to hate muslims in my case. they just tought me to hate them really hehe
i can't image the horror i would have faced if i was raised in an even stricter muslim type school..

LOL!! yep ya Dalzi, GMA is a relative and i have cousins who looks like him as well:P and we all know that "shelsh el jnoun" in our family is from his side:) and sometimes thats a good thing!
Halla2 what im doing with the "others"? well Dalzi its a VERY complicated issue, eventhoug Aoun is a relative, but another much closer relative was/is a Big big figure in Kataeb/LF (the milicia), and i was rasied in the atmosphere, eventhough dad (rip) was during his life a fierce deffender of the palestinian cause, then he used to be in "maktab tansik" with GMA.. so i never ever hated GMA during my entire life... till the day he came back and announced HK "shahid shahid shahid" (anyone remember?) and took a syrian path! (we'll discuss this in the orange room:P)

Respect... a golden word! Dalzi look behind the political affiliations im sure ull find good people, human people, funny, loving...
