Really a great surgery. Two relatives of mine made it and succeeded, but it does cost a lot, and a lot of people can't do it, including me.

Its a great thing, but I wouldnt recommend it for old people. My father took it at age 86, his eye was all blood-red and he was in pain. He died the following night from brain hemorrage. I dont have any proof (I didnt care to look for it either, my dad was dead in any case..), but the connection is there. If you got old people that you love, then check the pros and cons before you decide.

Am prettty sure, what Ramy did is the Lasek one. As far as i know, it is the only one that can be done in couple of hours. So..

With LASEK eye surgery you will feel some mild sensations and discomfort after the treatment, normally in the first 28-48 hours.
The closest To Ram's case... Hope am not wrong!

From Rami's description, what he did is LASIK not LASEK.

LASIK is the only procedure which you can operate normally the next day, others need more rest.

With LASIK you will get your results in 2 to 3 days, with the others (LASEK and PRK) it might go up to weeks.

LASEK is a mix between LASIK and the Old LASER (PRK), it is made for those who do not have enough corneal thickness.

Mabrook Rami, I did it 3 years ago.

i'm 21 (above 18 is good, my friend did it when he was 18 and it's perfectly working)
u might have 0.25 degrees later, but 0.25 is useless, and u still can see without glasses

I hesitated (and still) to undergo such operations, because i heard that it may have side effects on the long-term.

Besides, in France, it is not so easy to make it, since ophthalmologists are a little hesitant in allowing them quickly. And, you must have a compulsory delay of "Thinking" of 8 days between the moment the doctor advise you to do the operation and the actual date of it.

Generally, French ophthalmologists are not so keen to do this operation, which is kind of trivial for the Lebanese. I can't say who is right and who is wrong...

Anyway, 7amdellah 3al salémé Rami.

Don't hesitate to do it, because after the operation you'll be a new person. You'll forget glasses, lences, solution
Lebanese Doctors are more professional than others! If you want to contact someone let me know

Guys, you can check the Forum Archive:

Lasik Eye Surgery

Discussion

N.B. not everyone can do the Lazik, it's up to each eye.
