Default laser eye surgery - 12th April 2008

Yesterday I went to the "eye doctor" because I don't know what's the name of this kind of doctors and made some eye exams, and he told me that i can do the laser operation, and he asked me to take my time thinking if i go for it or not, it needed no time, I decided at the same time to do it, and today I did it

cute operation of 7 mins keeps your eye glasses away

I advice anyone to do it... no pain, nothing at all, all you have to do is to sleep about 5 hours in a dark room after the operation, and here I am eye to eye with the PC...

don't forget your sunglasses the 1st day !

Just a small correction, eye doctors are called Ophthalmologists and they are surgeons who would perform such laser eye surgeries.

Optometrists are optometric practitioners rather than medical doctors. Optometrists do not go through medical school or a medical residency, but instead attend optometry school for 4 years for training in vision science, eye health, and optometry-related areas like refraction for the prescribing of glasses and contact lenses. A bachelors degree is not required by all optometry schools prior to admission. Some optometrists treat early glaucoma and other eye problems.

More here.

Back to topic, I went to have my eyes checked as well. The practitioner said I've got enough corneal thickness to go forward with the procedure. It is just overly expensive here (around $6500 for both eyes). So I'll be waiting maybe till next year and do it in Lebanon.

what in hell are you doing here? Go hibernate like a bear and don't wake up in a month

Was it the laser, lasic or epi-laser? because two of my friends did the "lasic" operation lately and ive been them during the exams and everything, and we were told about the difference between the 3 of them...seems "lasic" is the easier and painless one..I am planning to do it in the future...i was hesitating before since everything related to the eyes scares me, but then when i went with my friends and got close to the whole process, I was encouraged..

Cheeers Ram...and seriously, I don't think it's healthy to use the PC this fast after your operation! you take care w ahamma shi, ma tefrekon bel leil, i guess ull be wearing those giant eyeglasses during the night,lol...they make you feel up on the moon, or on Challenger...
