Why don't you explain to me what I have quoted from the New Testament? | Do you need more quotes?
Here is another one:
"Do not think that I came to bring peace on the earth; I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I came to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; and a man’s enemies will be the members of his household. He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me; and he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me. He who has found his life will lose it, and he who has lost his life for My sake will find it." (Matthew 10:34-39) The main interpretation to this part of the Gospel relies in the following: The conversion to Christ can result in strained family relationships, persecution, and even martyrdom.
Following Christ presupposes a willingness to endure such hardships.
The sword is a metaphor of struggle. Jesus Demands total commitment from his followers.
Rather than advocating violence, Jesus was warning his disciples that they would encounter violence from those unwilling to accept the Truth. Nowhere in the passage does he instruct them to harm anyone. On the contrary, he instructs them to heal the sick, raise the dead, and cast out demons, and explicitly tells them to be "as wise as serpents and as innocent as doves." These are all instructions consistent with his message of love and grace.
He does not command them to resort to violence with those who reject the message. On the contrary, he tells them to leave the homes of those who reject them, because God alone will be the judge of those who reject the Truth. | | | | | Orange Room Supporter

What about : Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire. Matthew 3:12
mmm.. let me see, he was warning his disciples?
And here: And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell. Matthew 5:29
Let me guess.. he did not mean anything, he was just warning his disciples..
And here: If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.
Kamen warning them.. oh yeah, and "God alone will be the judge of those who reject the Truth." (as the above quote clearly states)
I got it now. I am convinced.

Goodnight.. | In the Christian belief, Jesus is God and the passages you wrote describe the baptism of fire, which will be the Christ-rejecter's doom.
You'll be more convinced when reading about Lourdes, Fatima and Medjugorje.
The visionaries described Hell as what is written in the passages you stated. Click Here

If the bible says don't kill, this means the bible is encouraging this act.
Is this your logic? | | | |
