Default Jean Paul I I - 1st April 2006

It's almost a year since he died. Of course in my country there will be a lot of events commemorating this date, he was someone really special for us. I was wondering, what do you think about him? Do you remember him, was he an important person, an authority for you? What do ppl from other religions think about him?

He was a good person who liked Lebanon, he was not an authority for me, but he was special! I remember seeing him when he came to Lebanon and then watching him on TV, I remember the crowds that waited for him on all the roads

tomorow there is a special documentary about him on LBCI

yea the Pope died last yr at this time! i think the world lost a great person! he's the person everybody loved, he gave us the example when he forgived the guy who tried to kill him and he loved Lebanon so much and carried it in his heart!
i know he's watching over us and hope he'll take care from where he is of this country that he loved and he'll pray for us!
AMEN!

He's one of the really exceptional historical persons who will be remembered for several next generations. God bless him and offer his church people like him to lead it.

Re: Jean Paul I I - 1st April 2006

He is a great human and spiritual stature.
He worked hard for the respect and dignity of all people, for the poor and those who are defenseless.

John Paul II was the most traveled pope in history, visiting more than 120 countries during his 26-year papacy, nearly every country in the world which would receive him.

I had the chance to see him when he went to Lebanon.
Just looking in his eyes makes you feel good.

With all my respect to all the popes, but i don't think we'll see a pope like him anymore.

Cheers :logo:

Who can forget him!!!!!

May god bless his soul,,, waiting for the day that they are going to nominate him as a Saint,,,

I visited Vatican Last summer, and I had the chance to enter to the burial place ,,, believe me,, you can't control your emotions,,,and tears....

This link is very nice , it shows all his visites and all his activities year by year...

Jean Paul ll was a very special person with a great heart he left behind him a great legacy of forgiveness ,Love , and open mind !
he was the most perfect exemple for our youth he gave them a task not just brought thm to faith but gave them a task to continue what he kept building over the years of his papale time : a human task, we all from all religions are brothers and sons of God !
