Scientifically speaking, it is very normal; and it was socially accepted in many cultures; Egypt, Persia, India, Rome... etc. and among the "nobility" too. So,
who said NO to incest? Religion.
Since "shou badna bi hal religious takhallof", "it's no ones business what you do in your own bedroom", and "morals are relevant"; incest should no longer be a taboo. Many argue that the incest taboo is of Patriarchal origin and hence should be abolished.
Now whichever way you take it; it's much more logical than any other topic we've discussed.
- It's between two people of different genders (Dalzi's gender argument)
- It's between two adults who are "carrying out the act with full consent" (Abufijli)
- What happens in your own bedroom is your own business (Nirvana's bedroom theory)
- It springs from religious fanaticism which is followed by ignorants (All atheists)
- We are in 2007 (Liberal open minded members)
What's the problem? What's stopping people?
Now if later they come to argue for incest in a couple of years, intolerant religious fanatic zealots would have no logic to back themselves up with but "God says no".
Still wanna follow religion when it comes to incest, or should we break free from that religious taboo too?
