Now having said that, it is true that most people will have mild symptoms, however the fear from a healthcare provider's perspective is this:
Let's say you have 10000 infections in an area and only 3% of them are severe enough to require hospitalization. That's 300 people!!!! What do we do then ? We don't have 300 ICU beds, nor 300 ventilators and not even the staff to take care of them.....you see my point?
The CDC does not recommend the vaccine to everyone, that's something that all the conspiracy theories proponents keep forgetthing to mention....Only people at risk for severe complications and those who might be spreading it (hospital staff) should take it....
As for the video, this is certainly a heartbreaking story good luck demonstrating the causality though! you know how many people tell me, Oh i took the vaccine before and it gave me the flu....(When the regular flu vaccine doesn't contain a virus). Trying to make sense of random events is hard wired human trait... |
Just on the red part, this is not entirely accurate concerning children. While it is true that children are a risk group and will widely contract the virus, the risk of developping serious morbidity and mortality is higher at the young adults groups. This is to say more children will get infected, but more young adults will die.
