Default How to loose the 5 last pounds ? - 2nd July 2008

Have you ever tried a diet and/or the gym to do many hard exercices to loose the extra last 5 pounds/2 kilos that you want to get rid of?

I know for me its so hard. Its really easy the first 5 pounds but what about the last 5 others?

Any suggestions or ideas or your personal story(ies) on what you did to lose them without being anorexic or bolemic lol?

Thumbs up Five steps to your weight lost GOAL ! - 30th July 2008

1- Program yourself for success : set a very specific goal

-Remember that loosing weight requires a change in thought and behavior, so set goals for your emotions and weight.

- Dont just set vague goals like " i want to lose some weight " Be SPECIFIC: how much weight do u want to lose? how do u want to feel? close ur eyes and visualize yourself after u've reached those goals. Use this visualization to feel commitment and inner strength :)

2- Get a plan:

- Work out a detailed strategy because willpower doesnt work! To lose weight and keep it off, u must have a strategy.

- Plan ahead: get rid of ur expandables clothes , stay away from fast food , and keep healthy food in your pantry.

3- Identify small , measurable steps:

-implement steps that will fit ur life style, not somebody else's.

- Be sure to move toward a positive goal, not just away from being fat.Every step u take will bring u closer to being who u WANT TO BE. :)

4- Create a healthy , realistic timeline:

- where will u be in a month? six months? a year? feet ur goals to tur calender and stick to it.

- Dont expect to see HUGE results overnight ; take the time to change ur lifestyle, and u'll change ur weight :)

5- create meaningful monitoring and accountability:

- If u know u have to report ur progress to some1 , u'll be more likely to stick 2 ur plan .

- "go public" with somebody u trust. Find support when u need it, and celebrate ur victories :)

Gd Luck 4 all
:D

Don't eat anything beside cereal and tuna all day every day for 3 days in a row.
Make Exercise a Habit. Part of being disciplined is creating a habit. You may not want to brush your teeth every night, but you do it anyway because you always do it right before bed...it's a habit. You can do the same thing with exercise by keeping your workouts on specific days and times each week (if you can)... And then watch the last 5 pounds going away..

Ahhh the dreaded diets lol

Well you loose the first 5 pounds so easily because its excess fat which is stored by your body its just hanging out so to say.
The next 5 are harder as they are stored, the best thing to do is watching what you eat try to limit carbs to once a week, drink plenty of water and excersie excersie!!

Do a cardio warm up for 10 minutes, try 15-20minutes of toning muscle work and then another 40 minutes to an hour of cardio. As your muscles are already working help you burn more calories faster

If you weighed 200 pounds you would need to drink 200 ounces of water each day for the next 2 days. Read How To Lose 5 Pounds In 2 Days for more info on getting rid of your last 5 - 10 pounds fast3 ways to lose those last 10 pounds
1. Make changes in your exercise plan... If you've been walking on a treadmill at 3.0 mph for 45 minutes everyday... Your body is going to get used to this and you'll stop losing weight and if you want to start losing weight again - You have to make small changes like...

You can walk 4.0 mph instead of 3.0 mph for 30 minutes or...
You could walk for 60 minutes instead of 45 minutes or...
The best thing you can do is different exercises like riding a bike or elliptical. After I told a lady at the gym I work at to switch from the treadmill to the elliptical... She lost 4 pounds the next week.
2. Make changes in your diet plan.

You could eat 5 smaller meals instead of 3 big ones and if you're already eating 5 small meals... eat 7 smaller meals to start losing weight again or...
If all you're doing now is dieting (meaning you don't exercise now) then all you may need to do to lose those last 5 - 10 pounds is to EXERCISE!
3. Drink more water and eat less salt... Drink an ounce of water for every pound you weigh for 2 days and limit your salt/sodium intake to 1500mg. Drinking this much water for only 2 days and avoiding salt will help you flush out 5 - 10 pounds of excess water weight so...

If you weighed 200 pounds you would need to drink 200 ounces of water each day for the next 2 days.
