and will grant divorce only under certain specific conditions

I would look at a divorced person as I would look at any normal person. Things in Lebanon are no longer how they used to be. As long as you know your rights you will be fine.

whats the difference for God's sake!
i had an aunt who used to speak all the time abt divorced ppl "look at this one, and what she;s wearing..." and now she has 2 of her 4 kids divorced!
im against divorce in general, cos i think u have to know who to get married to so u wont reach this point, bas im againt judging, in any way any divorced person! its immoral and unacceptable!

a agree with marina that they should'nd divorce specially if they have children....but once they r divorced ,its not bad to mary a divorced woman or man,of course after u know the reall reason of the divorce...a divorced woman is only a woman who didnt succeed in him familial life, its bad, but its nt a crime,,,i would mary her

but since Lebanon is ruled by religious laws
especially the christian ones, it doesnot make it easy to divorce only in certain specific case, that will get the man or the women to look like bad person like if they cheated, or they got serious contagious desease, or loosing its mind, or becoming none or priest, not able to have kids (as I remember)
there is no room for "oh father we just don't get along"
and as i know about the muslim, it is only the man who got the rights to divorce the woman

a divorced person is just like any individual, except that he/she was married and maybe has kids.

At least that person was brave enough to take the decision and (in our conservative community) defy the society ..

i convinced myself with this when i asked myself :
what is better, a separated couple, or a couple who keep on living a hell just to stay together, and try to hide their disagreement??

i would say in community like Lebanon as u said, she will have to work twice as other females to proove her self in the community
and id say that's what may let the lebanese woman especially suffer in silence in their marriage
i mean the lebanes woman in general as female she is badly discriminated by her society so what if she is not only a female but female and divorced

yeah unfortunetly divorced ppl in lebanon are looked upon in a eru weird way!!

ya3ne when ppl see them in the streets they'll go like:" yiiii hayde mtal2a leike wen rahit"

i'm not against divorce but only as the last solution, cause the kids will suffer a great deal they'll see their life split in 2
other then this the worst thing in a kids olfe is to have parents who scream at each others all the time and all what comes with that!!
he won't be a normal kid, he'll be asocial, and might have suspicions about his future marital life!!
thinking: "my parents didn't succeed, maybe i won't 2"
