Default Hospitals in Lebanon - 5th June 2008

I had a sick relative in a very famous and reputable hospital in Beirut. The nurses showed no mercy compassion or any kind of feeling towards the patient. You feel that to them he is just a client and if he is old it is even worst. The Doctors show up in the morning for 5 minutes gave their orders and vanish and you have to beg to catch them if they were needed afternoon or evening. I dont wanna talk about speculations about the patient disease. They gave him Insulin and he had no diabetes.

I am so angry and worried about healthcare in this country. There is no control no supervision, nothing. when you go into a Lebanese hospital inta we 7azzak. Human life has no value or respect.

Listen... I live in london. When i was in lebanon, I always had people, some showing off, telling me how good the medication is in Europe especially london besides being for free. They claimed that they take good care of the patients and supervised them well.
Now i am living in London, I cant tell you how bad they are when it comes to public healthcare. I have gone to many hospitals that are considered good here in london when i got pregnant. They lost my lab results many times, gave me wrong appointments, and treated me irresponsibly. I had to come back to lebanon to have checks with good doctors here although I had to good amout of money.
While complaining to others in london, I discovered that they have gone under the same situation and some even worse by being given false test results.
In the UK, they take taxes much more than they take in lebanon, and thus they have bad public healthcare and if you want to go private, you pay thousands to get what you get in Lebanon with fraction of that amout paid.

The medication in lebanon, as I see it, is much better than the public medication you get here in addition to having much better doctors.

Don't worry, Nurses everywhere are bit*es, I think it's a part of there job description, haveing to deal with sick people all day and stuff. But gzz giving somone insulin without needing it, That would of just made him real weak and hungry, not to mention the more serious effects.

Thats my experience too, nurses are rude basically. I guess the reason is they are doing a sh*tty job while they are quite underpaid and stresed. It might be also the lack of proper training.
