It's a movement based upon common appreciation of certain forms of art (whether music, paint, architecture, clothing, and so forth).

Gothic culture revolves around points such as: love, deep passion, sexuality, strong spirituality, existentialism. It is a very romantic form of expression as it depicts certain realities with passion and deep spirituality.

The term goth doesn't represent too much, it is widely agreed that it is symbolized from Romantic Gothic (or Gothic Romance), which is the marriage between the passion of the romans and the spirituality of the goths.

i knew u ll be the one answering me , very helpful indeed.
in case you are interested in this debate, i have a couple of questions:
- why most goths are associated with Vampires believes? (no stereotypes intended but when surfing about the issue, i noticed Vampiralism always mentioned whenever gothism is there)
- what makes u a goth? i mean how do u become one
- any info about goth movements in lebanon? (cultural ?)
- dont u think the appreciation of this kind of art is implied by a philosophy of the beauty and the sad which makes the Gothism more than a culture but more a way of thinking a living
- Can gothic habits be applied in corporate life :) ( can u be a goth CEO)

hope some members with goth experiences can share these answers..i know it's a weird topic, but i think it s really interiguing and would like to get some real facts and experiences
thanks

vampirism? not of particular importance, its there because the trade of a vamoire a) is practiced mainly in the night, b) is related to death and demonism, c) involves blood, which is mystical symbol of life and death, d) involves immortality and superpowers, d) is shrouded in romantic shudders, so the right thing for middle class college kids.
how to become one? apply at he local graveyard. honestly: wear black clothes and start listen to boring music, start making a romantic face, and cover your body and your mind with silly symbols.
more a way of thinking? no, its to much style and too little brain involved. its very superficial. believe me.
appliable in corporate life? definitely. everything based on irrational veneration of power is the right choice for higher corporate echelons. plus a gothic never needs to have self-doubts, its pure narcissm.
i don't know if there are any in lebanon, but i don't have any doubts, as it appears to me lebanon isn't spared of anything ever.
i confess, i am not impartial. but i know the scene.
