Icon10 Fish and Milk - 8th March 2008

This really interests me. If there's any specialist around I would be very grateful for the help.

Why? Why? Why Fish and Dairy are not compatible? Is it just a legend? Or is factual?

good question....used to hear it while growing up and got stuck in the head.

But then again...Tuna melt sandwich.

What about swimming or showering after eating? Heard that before too.

What's the difference with Jebneh w Jambon?

The first half is a fluid extruded by force from a cow and shaken until it solidifies with the help of microbes, and the second half is the butt of an impaled boar cooked several times before served, and then cooked till melting point before eating. And mix the too but it's good.

The thing with fish and milk, enno you're not gonna eat them together at the same meal, the myth is about putting a time difference between the two. If you had fish for lunch, you better wait a couple of hours before your first labneh sandwich.

i dont really remember where i heard it, but nothing will happen if you eat fish and drink milk with it.. well i dont like either fish or milk so i cant give a personal opinion here...
but it is said that it couldve happened to someone in the past to have some problem while eating fish and drinking milk, so people assumed that was the reason and it reached us today..

hehe i remember that part, ya 3ame we want to swim, but no we had to wait for some time then be able to swim... but i believe they are a bit right, after you eat , you always have to relax and to make sure the food is going to the direction it should or one might have a reflux!
