Icon6 Face & Body care for Men: with or against??? - 22nd August 2007

Hello all,

I was in a visit to my brother last year in Dubai, when he introduced me one of his friends who is a chairman of the board to one of the small companies there. I was surprised when i knew that this man and the majority of men in UAE (UAE citizens and foreigns) go on regular basis to body care centers and to make their fingers nails, toes nails, skin care and body care.

Given my Lebanese traditional backround ( i am from a remote town in lebanon,ya3ni jerdi somehow) i was shocked for a while, because i am used to see men making this kind of activities.

Likewise, i have one question to the ladies members and another to the men in this forum:

1-Men: do you have any problem in going to these centers just like girls???

2-LAdies: do you accept that your boyfriend/fiance/husband go to this centers just like you, or do you think this kind of activities is reserved for ladies and should stay so???

Thank you.

I cant imagine my man going to such center
But certain skin cares I wont mind, like facial cream, some lotion or so, but nothing exaggerated.
In fact I would try to make him use ever more organic products for body care, instead of flashy big brands.

Well, I think men should be concerned with their look and beauty (just like women), but not too much! Sun protection, a good moisturizer, and a weekly scrub should be enough. With men, natural beauty is the best.
IMO, Metrosexuals are not very appealing... guys shouldn't spend all day looking at the mirror. If any lady here has a man like this, get him some Old Spice and tell him to be a man!

if you put it this way Zouxi it realy sound yakkiiiiiii and it is not ! chou ya3ni "just like girls " why if men take care of their skin , nails , hair is a girly thing ? walla i rather go out with a clean nice looking guy then with a man looking like king kong ! for me it is nott girly on the contrary it is elegant and classy !

If it makes feel OK and look BETTER... GO for it!!

I WITNESS:
Our neighbor (c'est une esthéticienne) had always had men-clients... I was surprised (as a little girl ) but my mom told me that she was so good in taking care of nails... even for men facing some little (or big) problems!!

I have a colleague who actually does his nails and visits the spa every now and then. I personally think it's super cool and very clean.
Mish yaani if a guy takes care of himself it makes him a sissy, on the contrary it looks real nice.
Anyway, the new trend is shifting towards metrosexuality and in a few years, all this will be very normal for guys.
