Does our face-look represent our personalities? - The Orange Room

Yesterday I was arguing with a friend of mine. He says that he can easily know a person from the 1st sight, and that it always works with him. So I was against him, and said that not everyone can be known that way by their look. However I agree that men's look represent their personalities more than the women's look represent women's personalities, but not in all cases. You know, is a woman got a very innocent look that does not mean she is innocent, but maybe a

heheh. What you guys think? Can the look really represent ones personality?

this thing is propotional.
there is some people their physical appearance doesnt look like their personality... few of them..
but mostly this point of vue is right... u can take an idea from their appearance.

well your friend is right yes we can read a persons face not the apearence like you call it the appearence is the mask ppl hide behind . ppl can have esthetic surgery and change many things but some features cant be changed you just look into the eyes of a prson and here you are they cant hide they cant change that and you can easely know what is inside them remember the eyes are the window to the soul .

yes i can read ppls faces , attitude , movements , body talk , men or women they can play a role yes but you always can read the true person behind the comedien . but again you should have it its like a gift some ppl do not take the time to discover others and thats why thy are fooled ! it is like if you are reading a book but you dont focus on the words so you loose the meaning and keep reading in vain same thing with ppl .

Hmmm... I think you can never "know" a person 100% , why? Because people can show you what they want you to see and there are things you cant see.
Specially you can't know him from the 1st sight, come on!! I understand it when u say: "have an impression about somebody from the 1st sight" but you can't tell his/her own personality.
I agree about the "eyes" they can tell so much about a person's attitude and it can reflect his/her truthfulness to a certain point.
Bottom point ; people are so different and you have to always expect the strangest and newest among everyone and even your friends, concerning attitudes and caracters.

A lot of the times we see in a person what we want to see. And as long as we believe it, that is all it matters. IMO, The answer to the question is generally no and I say that because when I look at my cousins faces they really look like nice people when in reality they are not.

this is a great topic ! i tend to know a persons personality from his face ! but not everybody is able to do it ...

par exemple , i can guess if someone is an LFer just by looking at his/her face .

I always thought that I can guess a person's personality just from looking at his face! And guess what, ot works most of the times, I can tell who is nice, who is evil...

I think a simple look cam tell much about one's personality.

Well, it is not really proven that way i guess, that we can know (for sure) a person just by looking at his face. Well, i was thinking, maybe the body language is more important to know each person's character. Hmmm really confusing indeed.

of course body language is what leads you to understand the personality of a person . let me give you a simple exemple i am sure you know Mr Bean the famous personality on Tv well if you follow well this "MR Bean" behavior he makes you laugh but go deeper and you find a very sad lonely person living in a big solitude . you can see that in every action he does . same like the caractere of chalie chaplin, sadness behind acts that make us laugh . this is a small exemple dont take it as a whole explenation just wanted to shaw you that many of the appearances we see and that can fool us hides the true caracters and the reality of a person . we only see what make us "laugh" but we dont see the other side . same for all ppl >friends, we see the outside (things they want to show us ) and we juge upon it but we faill to see deeper even tho it is there ! we simply dont "read" well.

writing can be a very revealing part also somtimes you dont have to look into the eyes of someone or to follow his behavior to discover him/her you can feel and understand his/her caracter from the writing like in here , for me it is like a game i discover ppl's caracter from what they write and it is amazing when i meet them deep inside i laugh i am never wrong almost never
