Default Diet and exercicing - 30th August 2006

hello to allll!!!!!!

Actually I gained weight after the war! Therefore I started dieting to get rid of the extra pounds.
So the purpose of the thread is to discuss the various ways of loosing weight (ways you've tried).
How do you usually diet? and depending on your diet system, how much do u usually loose?
As for exercicing, what are your usual exercices and how efficient you find them in helping you through the process?

This thread also welcomes replies from people who are not dieting, but who had experiences in diets, and replies from people who simply exercice often.

w as for the rest of u who might be dieting: gooood luckkkk!

hello caramel.
I am a nutrition student,so ill give you some tips.
You gained weight during the war most probably from eating junk food.Drop all those(tle2mosh) and decrease you meal sizes.It is imporant to eat light dinner,rich with fibers.Each salads and fruits for dinners or snacks,and stay away from fats and heavy dinners.Don't go for dull diet ,eat what you want but with minimizing you meals .
Go for a walk or do simple aerobic sports 20 min aday plus drink lots of water.

Exercise is better than dieting. Cardio is good, but weight/resistance burns more and for a longer time. Weights increase your metabolic rate for the next 36 hours, cardio increases it for about 5 hours afterwards.

In terms of diet, just dont eat really rich, fatty junk food and dont eat large meals before going to sleep. Eating 6 small meals instead of 3 large ones, will increase your metabolic rate as well. Drinking milk will metabolise excess fats (to an extent) just dont drink full fat milk. Drinking yansoun before bedtime is good also.

You put on weight for 5 reasons in my opinion:
1-junk food
2-not going out and walking due to war
3-stress due to war
4-not sleeping well due to war. If you dont sleep well, this disrupts your whole system.
5-when the body feels threatened or in times of strife or perceived strife, it stores fat.

Dont get paranoid though, its just a bit of extra fuel, and it will go when you get active again.

I cant believe you started a new thread because you got fat, thats funny

I thought it'll be nice to discuss ways to loose weight and the various ways to exercice...
Why I gained weight? simple.. used to go out jogging everyday for an hour. When war happened, I stopped jogging, I slept for 4 to 5 hours each night, I ate sooo muchhhh (including halawa from box with spoon ) because we spent everyday playing cards and watching the news so we had to "nla2mich". without mentioning enno we had 5 birthdays so 5 cakes (nonetheless I didn't get a cake on my birthday :( )
And now I'm paying the price Bass yalla dieting is fun

As for exercicing, I'm back to jogging... and I also do Yoga and some dancing when I feel like it. It helps I guess

after studying too much, I forgot about eating, and lost some weight...

so go and study

the "falling in love" thing doesn't work... they always say: chou do3fan/eh el hay2a maghroum/eh <-- this is wrong

The only solution is: don't eat too much, and do some sports...

Actually, I eat when I study :P Plus, I passed all my courses and not taking summer classes! therefore badde erte7777!
as for falling in love, well it works for me , thus you can notice that I'm notttt in love
