Default Depression - 29th March 2007

Depression...

Is it the news? Is it the stress? Is it the books? What’s causing this depression of mine? How do I deal with it when I don’t even know the reason?

What do you do when you feel depressed for no clear reason? Can anyone out there give us some ideas!!!!!!!!!!!

If you feel depressed too... Say what's depressing you... It might make others feel better...

Melancholy like this can sometimes be caused by the failure of the brain to discharge of certain chemicals. It's often temporary and has no specific reason but a combination of some.
First advice: avoid the political forums they are made to test one's tolerance of depression limits
2- Avoid enclosed places- take a walk outside, in the park or preferably a place with unlimited view like the beach, not now but tomorrow

3- go for a run, physical exercise is good for that

4-read this http://www.lfpm.org/forum/showpost.p...8&postcount=66
5- Prozac it does wonders
6- Try not to get more than 50% on your exam, you dont want to waste too much effort
7- Read Women's weekly and new idea, they are great for the soul
8- Eat raw vegetables and do something fun
9- Do nothing till it passes
In a woman's case sometimes it's to do with change of hormones

depression ... It happens to everyone .. Im sure of that ..one day you feel your on top of the world the next you feel as if you dont wanna wake up for the day ... dont feel like seeing or talking to anyone .. u may cry for nothing or maybe yell at somone for nothing or argue with somone for nothing ... maybe if u see urself in the mirror you might break the mirror too..yeh It happens to me .. alot .. how I get over it .. well I put a sign on my face so people dont interfere with me on this very day .. I go for a looooooooooooooong walk by myself ..... breathing in the fresh air makes you relaxed .. go sit at the beach around sunset and just stare at the sun as it sinks down in the sea .. listening to music naaaah it somtimes makes me more depressed ..spend time with ur pets... dog or cat or bird .. they let you forget ur depressed .. kill somone ! it feels good too ..

Now that i can't help! If not on the net, then on tv. If not on tv, then at home. If not at home, then at someone's place... etc...

The problem Shadow is that i don't even have exams! I've finished my Bachelor and Masters blah blah... I'm reading for my PhD proposal :D... It's disastrous actually coz the books I read are in some sense political lol...

With me it doesn't last a day! It swings and swings and swings lol...

I think killing someone would be the best option ... I know exactly with whom to start ...

Good idea, but i hardly cry :D... There would have to be a God **** worthy reason for me to cry; like someone dying or something like that :D...

depression made me lose more than 5 kg in one summer, i was sad and lonely, and facing many problems, i use to work till 2, my works was very bad, and after that i used to spend the rest of my time at home, not doing anything, i was sad from the inside, after that, thank God things changed and nice things started to happen!
do what i never did: go out, try to enjoy your time, and most of all do some sports, if you dont have any friend by your side (which was my case), go to the malls, do some walking, and if you have good friends, try to spend some time with them, open your heart to them or maybe to someone special, sometimes it takes time to get over what is making us sad, but we have to keep on living!
