and i was thinking of the old traditional way to do it.. a resto, wine, music and one knee on the ground!

Yes one knee on the ground is quite apt. It will ever be etched in your mind as the moment when you surrounded your best judgement to pander to the whims of procreation at the expense of an ever delightful life.

But i guess a special event like this needs more creative and romantic ideas and i have a couple of those in my mind!

I reckon try to be less romantic as you possibly can. There will invariably come a time when you will look wistfully back at this moment and ask yourself whetever possessed you to do this sort of things.

what do u think.. how would u handle it? and do you have some ideas that could be useful?!

Well, the way I did it is the moment I wish I could somehow erase from my mind. I chose a night when I knew the full moon would rise early in the warm evening. I manipulated the moment to be exactly at the opera house at at time when the difference between the moon rise and the sunset was measured in few minutes. As soon as the moon rose in the backround, She leaned against the railing and in my total absorbtion I wasnt sure which of the cosmic delights was the most enjoyable, the fiery sun colouring the clouds in no fewer than seven colours, painting the skies with the brush of a celestial impressionist: the glowing moon against a backdrop of a splendid hill or the beauty before my eyes with whom I had chosen to spend the rest of my life with. I told her if my heart was able to emit any more love then neither one of us belonged to the human species. As sure as the moon would rise from now till eternity and the sun warms the earth until the end of time, my need for you is fraught with such certainty. You would do me the greatest honour if you'd give me this chance to live the rest of my journey on this earth knowing that you and I are forever inseperable.
She said yes on the spot. Little did I know then I had just committed the biggest folly any man ever had and suddenly all the bridges behind had been burnt. My fate was sealed and what ensued was a wonderful journey that lasted for a couple of years and then the day of reckoning had arrived and the dream turned into a nightmare with equal ferocity.
How could love blind someone so well, I shall never know.
Memories!
