Default Cremation - 10th January 2008

first of all, I hope all of you will have a very long, happy and healthy life :)

but the subject of death is inevitable...

and one of the things i think about when it comes to death is whether my body should be burried in a box in a graveyard or be cremated.

I think I made my choice; after donating whatever organs could be useful to others, I'd like to be cremated, and i'd like my ashes to be poured in all the places that i cherished the most... not to mention the horror i feel when i think what would happen to the body when you just leave it in a box to disintegrate...

now I understand that there are many religious and social constraints regarding this issue, but away from that, what about you?

are you with or against cremation and why?

NO!

You seem to have done a lot of contemplation in your life and have come out for worse from that reflection.

God is real, hell and heaven are real, you as a person are real and you are important in this world! And don't let anyone else tell you otherwise !!!!!!!

You just don't see it :(

All monotheistic religions do not approve of cremation.

The scene of cremation is very poetic especially when they used to burn a king's corpse and the knights hold their swords on his honor! Then they put his ashes in a bottle and make it float in the river!

But I prefer to be burried, that's more poetic in the long term, imagine how the corpse is in a tomb under the ground in a cemetery, a scene of horror, wow :D fertile to the imagination of another Poe or Lovecraft!

Besides, my corpse will be very fecund to the land; it will give life to many flowers and trees! Imagine when you'll be the life in some roses in the hands of a beautiful princess!

Add to this, when you choose for the corpse to get cremated then you lose it once and for all, but had it been buried and in case you didn't like "fo2" you can return, burn the cemetery to not leave a trace then come to people you know and tell them: I'm back! Magnificent :D

I'm not with or against it. I leave it up to the person, but i would never get it done myself nor would i have the strength to have it done to a loved one.

I don't know to me just the idea of the body being turned into ashes makes my heart squeeze. I know the body doesn't stay the way it is forever unfortunately.

If it was up to me i would actually freeze the bodies of my loved ones (ok i know creepy) but i don't want anything to change about them i want to keep them forever.

But overall if a person chooses to be cremated i actually respect that greatly. I look up to the person that they have that strength because i don't.

Most importantly for me is that my corpse is put in Lebanon no matter what physical condition it is in.

Anyways b3eed lshar 3an 2loubkon mit alf mara.

mmm.. I want my body to be teared apart into 13 pieces, then be scattered across the land of Lebanon. Then "Isis" would look for these pieces, bringing each piece to "Thoth" to work magic upon it. When all the pieces are together, Thoth should go to "Anubis", lord of the dead. "Anubis" would wrap me in linen, direct my body to Orion where my soul would go and shall live endlessly!

(mmm, quite obsessed..)

Im with cremation. I have often thought the same thing ur saying now rayo !
I will donate whatever organs are needed and then get cremated .. I cant think of what will hapeen to us either after we are in that box ..even thinking of it scares me and makes me sick ! As for religion I dont really care about it .. Its my choice !thats how I want to be after my death ..
I told my hubby that I want to be cremated and he has to scatter my ashes shway in the sea coz I love the sea and under his pillow so he and his second wife can get haunted by me at nite ..
