I must have a daily wash, I think it's very disgusting not wash yourself everyday. I tried many many moisturizers of the most expensive brands and my skin was always irritated and dry. So, he said to use body moisturizers based on Oat, like Avene or D'Aveia. Now my skin is fine, with Avene.
For the after shaving I don't know... my cousin uses Shiseido man, I think it's a very good brand for man. But I never tried any after shaving cream (for the obvious reasons! ).
Glad to see men in this thread! | | | | | Registered Member

I have a Paul Devartens collection for facial care. They are swiss products ,and they showed best results with me after many trials with different products.
As for sun screen,I use anthelios which is more medical and strong.
For the makeup, well i choose items from different brands, like maybelline for lip gloss, max factor for mascarra ,revlon for manicure and Guerlain is excellent.
But i have a special attraction towards hair care products ,I have a big collection of different brands. | | | | | Registered Member

In the opinion of my dermathologist Guerlain is one of the best brands for make-up. I always use, everyday, "les météorites" after le fond de teint. And now Guerlain has a khôl that I can't wait to try!!!!

As I use a lot of sunscreen I never get tanned and I love blushes that create a fake (but pretty!) tan. In the last summer I used Irréelle Soleil of Chanel.
Thanks for the info!
I used Anthelio too like. For my skin type it was too fluid but it protects the skin very well, in my opinion. | | | | | Registered Member

heya all!
i never thought i would find this thread on this forum Nice to find that i was wrong
I love make-up.... i always put some on whenever i go out of the house even if only mascara and lip gloss (i feel naked without it, i think its a psychological thing... any therapists in the house? ) ... anyway i think having the perfect 'teint' is very important and the less shine the better so loose powder is always a must a friend of mine is a make-up artist (a domicile) and she always recommends 'Make-Up Forever' for a professional long lasting look PS: if any of the ladies has an important event (wedding, cocktail, prom, VIP dinner,...etc) i will be more than happen to refer you to my make-up artist friend. Just PM me ! She is really very good and i have used her services on many occasions.... AND she goes to your house!!! | | | | | Registered Member

Yes in fact only Freud could explain this "obcession" we have
I have combination skin and to avoid the shining I use Pore minimizer of Clinique... I heard the other day that if we use always the same brands, our skin and hair can get habit to the main ingredients. So, in the opinion of that magazine we should regularly change the brands..... What do tou think about that? | | | | | Orange Room Supporter

What do tou think about that? | 100% correct,,, after using the same product for more than 6 month, you wont get a good result.. for me I'm using now Estee Lauder,, I might go for Lancome this time... But when you enter to cosmetic shop you got confused,, and you don't always receive the right guidness...
I have a very complexed skin , its very sensitive and mix,, and I need some balanced creams,,, I'm gonna try the Pore minimizer of Clinique that you recommend,,, I might keep the Idealist Skin Refinisher from Estee lauder.. but I need something refreshing,, I always feel that my skin is dull...... | | | | | Registered Member

I agree, after a certain period of time it is better to switch products. In general i prefer dermatological products (the ones you'd buy from a pharmacy). Although Clinic (i use their 'anti-cernes' and it is just awsome!) and Lancome have a great retutation! i haven't tried Estee Lauder yet... As a general rule, it's better that a dermatologist doctor prescribes your skin products if you have a sensitive skin, heik you avoid any future problems. | | | | | Registered Member

I can't count the number of times that the assistents of cosmetic brands gave me wrong advices... In the same day I heard that my skin was dry, and 15 minuts later in other department my skin was oily... I have combination skin.
My skin is sensitive too, specially in the nose area and around the eyes, and Idealist is very good for me. Specially the Idealist Micro D Deep refinisher. The "normal" Idealist refinisher is very good but it's so expensive. Pore Minimizer Lotion does the same, in my opinion. I really like it, and I can control the shine.
I tried a sample of the scrub Pore minimizer thermal refiner (similar to Idealist D Deep) but it was too strong for my sensitive skin and I had to use aloe vera to restore my skin, just awful... But the pore minimizer lotion is perfect for me! | | | | | | |
