That is correct, Medicine is one of the very rare thing where no one can hold exclusive rights of production forever, they just give a period of time so that the inventor takes advantage, but because it is for the good of all mankind, no one has the right to take for example the cure of cancer to the grave, or monopolize it forever.
Kolar, if the medicine is properly regulated by the Health ministry and cheating is not tolerated, there won't be any problems. In the end, paracetamol, if done right, will be paracetamol, no matter if the label on the medicine says BAYER or أدوية أبو الزوز hehe, so you also need a lot of organization at the health ministry, including testing lab, and strict procedures for giving licenses.
