Unfortunately when you have a whole sect that goes by emotions and sectarianism, then anyone will come and use this tool with it, be it hariri or other. And with the contorted demographic divisions we have now in Zahle, it is this sect that will decide Zahle's MPs. If among Chiites and Sunnis we had the democracy that is there among Christians when it comes to voting, then the numbers of people in each sect would not make any difference, it will be a political battle rather than a sectarian one. Unfortunately in Lebanon we do not have one, and this is why there were no battles in areas where the Chiite or the Sunni vote is the leading one.
