Good point - compare figures from 1990 to 1998, to 2005 and 2009. There is a BIG change - transfers

Are you asking that Christians all votes for a single leader ?
Is that good for democracy ?
you dont want diversity ?
Is that the onl solution you can come up with ?

I say, since there are 64 christian MP, make an electoral law where christians elect christian MPs, and Muslims elect Muslim MPs
that is the only thru solution
it wont matter how many sunni or shia transfer to zahlé, jbeil, matn, kesserouen, ...

what i cant understand, is why doesnt all christians adopt this idea

Woah woah, calm down! I was just stating the fact that the Christian votes were split. I did not say i didn't prefer democracy or diversity. Please don't put words in my mouth.

Ah ok, so it was just assumptions. I thought so...

As someone said previously, better wait for the judiciary to give the final word...

Assumptions? Are you serious? Do you think we live ont he moon? We live in Zahle,we know what is going on there. We know FOR A FACT that Fatfat has transferred Sunni names from other areas to Zahle, since we see how the laweyih el chateb develop. No one is denying that fact, not even the 14 febers in Zahle, so please do not play the role of the devil's advocate.

You need to know that many of Zahliotes who thought that they are punishing Elie Skaff for his politics by not voting or voting for the others (although I know many who voted for 14 feb but not for Fattouch) never thought that the outcome would be like this, and they are ALREADY sorry. Some are admitting it openly, others do not have the guts but you can see it on their faces.
Zahliotes have always been their own masters. Today, Zahliotes won't have a say in the Raiss Baladiyeh, in the Mohafez, in the government, in nothing.
Unfortunately and I did not need the numbers to prove it to me, Fattouch is NOT liked in Zahle, Zahle people are not blind, they know how corrupt he is, but unfortunately the political alignment that happened in the country made them vote for this list against that one. The sad thing is that they did not remove Zahle's voice to put it in the hand of another Zahle personality, they removed it from Skaff to put it in the hands of Gemayel, Geagea and Hariri.

In May 7 and after it, when problems were taking place between Chiite and Sunnis, no one got near Zahle, neither Chiite nor Sunni, because Zahle was considered out of the struggle, considered to be the Catholic city that has nothing to do with the issue.
If similar problems ever take place, Zahle is no longer shielded, Zahle is now at the heart of the struggle, and I wonder who will be the ones to defend Zahle then, definitely not the great Geageaists?

Man I think you are exaggerating.. For Zahle to suffer from Sunna vs Shiaa conflict because of Sunna transfered, there must be then alot of shiite in Zahle for such a thing to happen.. Anyway it sounds like a deal between Berri, Jomblat and Hariri...

don't take this personal youchka ...but i have one thing to say:

Allah ysemehon la ahl zahle.... i have a big number of friends and acquaintances from Zahle so i have an idea about how they operate .... and i think their blind sectarian zealotry and bigotry is what lead them to this.... they followed their hearts not their brains.... and they will regret it for four long years..... i know that Zahle's loss was because of 27000 future movement votes, the millions that were paid, because of all the cheating that ook place..... but the christians of Zahle (and it doesn't please me to talk sectarian) hold a part of the responsibility they didn't participate as much as they should and u have the ones who voted hariri.....

Anyway everyone deserves what he gets... i just hope they wake up in 4 years from now ..... well i think they already woke up but it's a bit too late .....

Zahle must become FPM number 1 priority : We must cancel the transfer of SUnni in.. because it is illegal. At this pace anyone can play with Lebanon demographics.

Is there any judicial action launched against it ? WHo is following the issue ?

I agree with everything your saying except in what is in the bold. Christian turnout was at a record high, even at staggering 52% (about 48,000 voted), which is an increase of 7% from the last election. I think next time the Christians should be united rather than split into two factions that achieve nothing!

I wasn't talking about their participation compared to previous elections..... i was saying that despite the increased level of participation it wasn't enough they should have participated even more they knew that other sects would be voting heavily and with very big percentages they should have been more politically aware and responsible, they should have voted more than they did to preserve their district..... the 7% increase wasn't enough it should have been a 14 % increase or even more....
